I love buying stuff on AliExpress, but I can tell from experience all their discount vouchers on their site are pretty hard to use, I've have had like $30 accumulated in "select coupons" but you can never use it on any store since very few take them. On top of that, this promo will only give cashback once the product actually arrives? 90 days later? and we also have to clear the shopping cart before ordering? why? just too many rules like all discount coupons on Ali. Thanks anyway.

    • yep same, love AE but their coupons are a real pain in the butt and i can never actually use them despite ordering on a regular basis…

Thanks OP, missed out on this but would have essentially been no tax for those who ordered!

Yeah understand where you're coming from, I just always think a couple extra clicks for 10% back seems pretty worthwhile.

      • I try to do those extra clicks, but I never succeed on getting any discount, either they dont take the type of coupons I got or it says "spend another $170 for a $0.03 discount." and Im like, yeah na bro.

The coupons on Ali are borderline fraudulent. But of course, it's China based so they're not beholden to any local laws.

    • The coupon codes floating on Cheapies and OzBargains are rarely original; often they're reposted from European bargain sites in the Pepper empire e.g. HotUKDeals, as well as bargain groups on social media e.g. Facebook, Telegram etc.

Most AliExpress coupons are targeted towards Europeans, especially Russians & Spaniards as they also have access to Tmall, which sells the good stuff. And those codes are usually region, time and quantity limited - sometimes very limited because they're linked to a specific social media influencer. The issue is due to the bargain hunters on sites like Pepper.ru being super quick, and they end up using up all the codes before it is reposted on Cheapies/OZB. An AliExpress code can expire within an hour, because all those Europeans already have their shopping carts ready to go by the time you see the reposted codes. And at times the reposters on Cheapies/OZB don't even check if the codes are actually working (e.g. Geo-blocks) before posting.

  • the coupons are fine, the problem are the sales =Z the product on sale with 70% off has the same price without the sale haha

  • I have ordered something off AE with the items not arrived but status said Delivered. Open dispute but was rejected due to the status said delivered, and they bloody released the payment to the seller, really bad experiences and wasting my time and money to shop there. Also I think the seller is being very doggy because they try to get me to pay more shipping after i placed order and i refused, so i think the fake shipping info was provided. Anyone know how is this tracking things works in AE? Can they provide buyer a fake shipping info but never send the item to our address?

    • I had the same situation last week, you just gotta wait for the order to close on its own and then open the dispute, but yeah, why would I have to wait for the order to auto close first of it already says delivered and its not.
