As of today, we will be removing Stake Unlimited, leaving just one clear premium upgrade, Stake Black. What’s more, Stake Black will retain all of its sophistication but will be priced at just US$9/month.
This means unlimited commission-free trades, fractional shares as well as advanced order types and access to new listings will all be available at no cost. Those upgrading to Stake Black will get even more, with analyst ratings, price targets, pro-level data and instant buying power.Until now, access to Stake Black has been based on portfolio size but from today, we’ll be upgrading everyone to Stake Black until January 2021, free of charge. That’s right, no matter your portfolio size, you’ll be able to trade like the pros with five months of free access. To upgrade, download the latest update from the app store.
With access to Instant Buying Power, customers with portfolios under US$25k need to be even more careful to avoid Pattern Day Trading (PDT). PDT is a US specific rule governing day trading.
For those who don’t day trade, you don’t need to worry. For those that are more active, we’ve built a day trade counter into our latest release to keep you safe and in control.
Great news for those trading on Stake.
Previously they had two pricing models at $9 USD/mo for unlimited and $19USD/mo for black.

Just a word to the wise, they have this "Free stock if you fund your account in 24 hours!" offer, it seems to imply that you can select which stock you can choose once you have funded your account. So stupidly I chose the option to "express" transfer my funds which cost extra $$ (i think it was $10) but i didn't realise you just had to complete the process of funding once and you didn't need to actually have money arrive in the account.
Then the final kick in the balls…it was a "Spin the wheel for your free stock", which obviously lands on the most garbage stock of all "Go Pro". FML.
Tbh it's a little shady how they do that and because I was doing it in between doing other things, I fell for their little marketing trick. Hope this prevents anyone else from falling for it the way I did. :)
