  • $16.99 on Trade Me. How can that be?

Would not recommend Norton. Much better products out there.

Norton still selling AV softwares for $75/year? At this day and age? By the gods,

  • What are folks here using these days? I just rotate between free trials when offered and Windows Defender, which I've been told is actually reliable now (when it used to be a joke).

Been using AVG free for ages, seems okay.

McAfee, included free with my fibre plan from Spark. I have no clue if it's any good.

I install whatever virus protection the random popups on Pornhub tell me to install. Stay safe, that's my motto.

      • If no protection is good enough for them, it’s good enough for me.

    • Trend Micro Maximum Security. Can get a 1yr key off eBay for like $5 for 1yr/3devices. No issues with the keys for the last 4yrs either lol.

Meh.. Windows Defender + Malwarebytes + Ublock origin + Common sense = $0

  • +1

Doesn't seem like a good deal.

  • Why would Norton bother to set up a fresh CC account just to post this "deal" for us? If they were offering an extended 180 day trial or something, then I'd be keen ;)

  • ESET for me thanks, Even if I was paid to I wouldn't use Norton.

  • Expensive. If you were that keen on Norton, can get it cheaper on Amazon (or $30 TradeMe). Antiviruses at this price usually come with a three year subscription and/or multiple devices as well.

Looks like you didn't do too well over at OzBargain OP.

Haha. We're just more polite this side of the ditch. Glad our cousins share the view that Windows Defender is adequate enough for the job.
