Buy one get one free. Big King XL. Via Burger King app. It is showing $12.90 in my app. It is supposed to be BKs take on a Big Mac.

I did. It tasted alright.
Much better than Big Mac, tasted like an actual burger.
Try the Big Carl from Carl's Jr. It blows both of them out of the water.
The junior version is BOGOF too. $6.60 for two.
FYI, BK has been sold to a local company (that also owns Starbucks) so i guess they won't be closing down for good.
https://i.stuff.co.nz/business/123148982/kiwi-company-tahua-…Explains the $5 spend for a gold reward disappearing ;p
Didn't actually know they stopped the bonus points.
BTW I think I mentioned this before but BK nearly always has single use app only BOGO for their promo items and sometimes other stuff (I think when they have no promo items). Last time was a mega stacker (or was it mega double stacker?) before that was BK Rebel Chicken and Rebel Tenders. I've posted them sometimes but often don't bother. When I saw this being launched, I was waiting for the BOGO and sure enough it appeared about a week ago. Don't know if this will change with new owners but if you see a promo item it's probably worth checking the app a week or 2 after launch. (The coupons generally last over a month so little risk of missing it.) And even if there's promo item, if it's been a few weeks since the last BOGO ended (not since you spent it), worth looking.
Yeah.. still have points just not the sign up bonus. :(
@memske: $5.60 for the "bk hack" kept me going for 2 years, in fact I have an account still waiting to be used. That makes 89 total emails made for bk - each time saving $14(according to the app) so that would be $1557.5 of free bk. And that's not mentioning the homeless dudes who I gave old phones to so they could do it - from inside bk using their free WiFi no less 🤣
Rip bk. The food was disgusting and the cheeseburgers hilarious, chips always cold, chicken never chicken, and some of the most batshit crazy pricing decisions Ive seen. I doubt there will be a reason to go back, Maccas is so much better quality it's not even funny.
homeless dudes
dude, no wonder they had to close down that queen st or main street branches, lol. And that queen st one always smell like urine, blehh…
@Rabid: What was the $5.60 hack? I knew about the sign up bonus, for awhile cheesy cheeseburgers were $2 so i'd order 3 for the signup bonus
and yea the food was so shit that even $6 for the 4 burgers wasn't temping enough for me most of the time lol
@Rabid: I did the same (Yahoo has a feature where you can create disposable Email addresses, I'm currently up to 32) but only accumulated points for Platinum rewards as Gold isn't a particularly good feed IMO.
And yes their food is disgusting, Carl's Jr is far better.
@Avantime: For the price plus a free meal, they're okay. And I like the drinks fountain during hot summers.
yea meanwhile the investors wondering what the happened to the thousands of "new customers" they were getting😂"You paid how much for this company?!"
It's still there, I did it last night on two different phones, accounts made inside the store
Odd. It isn't showing for me
what about now? judging by the news article they sold literally like yesterday lol
@ognsoign: Yeah… still not working for me. Tried making a new account on a new phone.
Can confirm Rowjo is correct! I made a purchase with the account I created and you still get credited the 500 points, it just DOESN'T show the usual message at the reward screen saying that you will do so!
So working, just not publicised.
@memske: Sorry for not getting back to you, I never got a notification about any replies until now. Glad to hear it's working for you too :)
Anyone had luck swapping meat patties out for rebel patties? Their site says they can do it but my local place gets extremely confused at the thought and say it isn't possible. Unfortunately means I can't get any deals without meat.
There's another coupon for the Rebel version
Anyone tried it?
