Surprised that trick or treating is so different in Manukau/South Auckland. In West Auckland while you don't see many trick or treaters, those you do see often have something even if it's like a witches hat. Anyway, given the history of Krispy Kreme promotions, I think even for a single free doughnut there will be long queues. I suspect there will even be some who spend $5-10 for costume just to get a free doughnut you can buy for $2 or whatever.
I see "Qualifying Halloween costumes must include three or more of the following costume pieces: Headgear, Pants, Shoes, Shirt, and Accessory." which may be a little more than I'm thinking although actually think a fair few trick or treaters I see will also qualify. I assume a wand will qualify as 'accessory', maybe even a pumpkin for storing sweets. And I think many do have sparkly tops or pants (or both)/
Excellent, I've been wearing my Depressed Office Worker costume all year in preparation for this.
The only people I remember seeing wearing a Halloween costume in NZ anywhere near where a Krispy Kreme might be were drunk idiots out on the town, so I'm not sure they've thought this through very well.
