  • Good deal, got the brushless mower with this kit so all three for less than $300

Can anyone who know or have these products, share your thoughts on them please?

    • Yes i'm keen to get this for someone, but want to hear feedback!

I have the trimmer, and for 2 years now, it's been working flawlessly. Had Ryobi electric line trimmer for 5 years previously, and really enjoy the freedom of cable. Also previously tried some petrol trimmer, but this is much lighter, albeit noticeably less power against thick/overgrown bushes. I think weakest point is the blade. Too weak, too quick to run off, even compared to Ryobi's lines, although i can't say i have compared to other brand's.

As for the blower, I have the combo vaccum+blower, so can't comment on that specific, but I almost never use the blower. I don't get it, people blow leaves to street? Or to their neighbour's?

      • The commercial guys just seem to blow it on to the street.

    • i just used the trimmer.
Not too bad but the blade blunted quickly. Have to switch sides or new blade if it feels like it isn't cutting as well.

Did a fine job on pretty long grass as well on a bank.

Used it for about an hour and used 1 bar from a 4ah battery.

  • I'm hesitant with the glass blades as opposed to the string. From what I've seen people seem to prefer string?
Reading through some Bunnings AU reviews they seem to be ok, pretty low end brand but most likely come from the same factory as most others.

    • Google einhell. Don't underestimate this brand.

      • Do you mean Einhell and Ozito are same?

        • I believe Ozito Power Xchange tools are rebadged Einhell tools. They were bought a few years ago to get access to Bunnings stores. Not sure about their standard grey corded tools though.

          • @kinetic9: It's still an entry-level tool for small jobs in small gardens. For bigger gardens I would strongly recommend a petrol trimmer as you'll need the grunt to tackle the bigger jobs.

My Stihl FS 55 effortlessly chews through anything that's thrown at it, and it's compatible with lot of really nice trimmer heads from different brands. With these entry-level trimmers you're locked into their proprietary heads, which can be a nightmare to deal with.

  • Ive also had one of these for a couple of years and they work really well. I dont use it for heavy scrub or anything like that. But its good along edges, decks, and under fencing etc.
The blades can be hit and miss sometimes = I break the odd one or two, and sometimes if feels like they wear out quick, but no worse than a normal line based one I guess.
A box of them lasts me about a year with weekly use.

As for the brand, I dont think you can really go wrong with a 5 year replacement warranty. The batteries hold their charge much better than my previous Ryobi as well.

Be quick - I just grabbed the last one from my local bunnings, and there were 3 people at the checkout with them as well……….

  • Thank you all for your responses. Fabulous community of like minded folks!

  • Trimmer good for smaller lawns and grass that are not too long. I bought a 18v one years back, but decided I need something more powerful to get the job done quicker.

  • I just picked the bundle up from Wairau Rd. Was probably about a dozen left, they are right at the front entrance. Cheers OP

  • Glad to hear about the reviews and the likings of the deal :)

  • If some of you are not able to find this online in your selected store then don't worry. It may not show in stock online but they may still have physically in stock. I am telling from my experience. They had about a dozen in store when none available online. Now, I have third Trimmer, 1x 23cc Homelite, 1x 33cc Homelite 4 in one which is a beast and this one, super light and easy to use by wifey :)

  • Looking at all the positive comments, I've bought one last night. New Lynn had a few left. They are not on the shelf, but in front to the right, with a few other power lawn tools.
