Not that great of a deal unless you want the hub. I bought 10TB WD’s for $160USD not so long ago.

Best Buy currently has the 14tb WD for $190USD so Amazon should have something to combat that coming up

    • If you're after a cheap HD now/before the end of the year, I'd consider the 12TB for $175 which ends in about an hour. There's no guarantee we'll get the 14TB cheap unfortunately. The 14TB cheap at Best Buy is nothing new although previous best was $199. Amazon always seem to be behind Best Buy with their WD HD deals. It was the same for the 12TB where it went on sale for ~$180 or so for several months before it showed up on Amazon at that price. To be fair it did go to $180 on Amazon in mid December last year so maybe we'll get something similar with the 14TB but no guarantees. https://camelcamelcamel.com/product/B07X4V2M3B Best Buy seem to have some special relationship with WD, as WD makes Easystore drives which are exclusive to Best Buy (and the ones that go on sale), probably part of the reason they get the higher capacity options cheap first.

  • How does warranty work on these drives from Amazon? I presume it is considered grey stock and there is no warranty if it gives up the ghost? Thanks
