Do you know if one has to have a US netflix account to get USA services of can you use an Aussie account?
I believe you can use your Aussie or NZ Netflix account, then US content will display when your region/IP is set to the US.
That's how it was last time I tried a couple years ago and seems to be that way from a quick Google search. Please double check though, it's not something I've done recently.
You can just use your normal account and you will see the American content when you connect to their "Miami" server apparently. One thing to note is that Miami is on south-east and it's pretty far from NZ so there might be some traffic issues, it might pay to do a trial or something if they offer it:
