    • Can Type C to Type C cable use to transfer data between 2 phones?

      • Yes they sure can, as long as they are transfer capable and not power only. These ones above seemingly do both transfer and power so would be fit for this purpose.

      • It will depend on both the cable, and also the two phones. TheDealMan says these cables will do it, so if you've done it before between the two phones, then you should be okay.

Note that Apple products may not have this capability though.

        Alan.

5offboost still working as well; $5 off with no minimum spend.

  • Excellent…. time for me to buy a Google Nest Hub Max.

I bought a new Google hub Max for $228 way back in June and what turned up was a 7 inch Google nest hub (Got refunded) and then I bought a Refurbished Google hub Max and finally that turned up but unfortunately the wrong power supply (A new power supply is on its way).Third time lucky maybe?

I got the the Nest Hub Max in December as well with the wrong power supply, and kept saying they will send the right one, but they've had a lot of trouble sourcing it. Today I got an email saying they're refunding me $40 because they can't get their hands on the right power supply.

It's been fine for me though. I just used a craft knife and sliced off a bit of the plastic on the cable and it fits fine.

As far as I know, you can't collect anything (happy to be wrong on that), and min shipping is $5, so this looks like it's really just a free shipping offer?

    • +1

Yes you are right but if you only wanted something that costs $5 or $10 that's a great deal. Thank you "thedealman" I just brought a three meter USB C cable

      • I don't disagree - just confirming that I had it right.

        Thanks,

        Alan.

Just a reminder that 1-Day have a store on the Market (Brand Colab) - So if you have discounts/free shipping etc you can use that :)

    • Hi MoxPearl,

Do you mean we can use 'HAPPYNEWYEAR' as a discount code on TheMarket.com, and get the $5 discount, then ask to 'click and collect' from a local collection point, and avoid freight charges?

If so, that's a great find, but I can't work out how to do it. I tried it with this:

      https://themarket.com/nz/p/my-giant-colouring-book/4969-AAAG…

went through to checkout ,entered HAPPYNEWYEAR, and it says 'No matching Coupon found'.

      Am I missing something?

      Thanks,

      Alan.

      • Nah you cant, was speaking more about Market codes + free shipping. (Eg if you are a market member you will be saving more than $5 just by using the market + free shipping)

        • Okay - Got it.

          Thanks,

          Alan.

    • I was wondering and suspecting that. Tried to search on that but couldn't.

      • Its not clear what you are saying, but if you are struggling to search for 1-day (Brand Colab) products only does this do what you want?

        https://themarket.com/nz/stores/brand-colab/4969

        Hope that helps,

        Alan.

        • Sorry, I meant that Brand Colab on The Market being same as 1day.

          • +1

            @el-cheapo: Ah - sorry.

It is odd that they (apparently) choose to obfuscate it though. If you hover over Brand Colab, it (at least sometimes) shows '1-Day', so its no like they have banned the use entirely.
