FYI: 1,000 points is typically worth about NZ$ 2. It can be worth more or less than that depending on what you redeem the points for.

    • What an utterly pathetic offering from MS. Only a day after they got brigaded into reverting their laughable attempt at jacking up game pass prices by 50%.

      • Game pass is well worth it's money. Nothing even comes close to it. Ea pass included aswell is just great too!

        • Nice didn't realise EA play was included, looks like it's comming to pc too. How does it work do you download another launcher and link the acount with xbox or something?

It's literally free, you are getting $2 for pushing a button. They don't have to offer $2 they could offer nothing at all.

Considering the rewards scheme is all free and involves little effort to rack up points it's actually a great offering. I've managed to score 4 months extra gamepass for mainly just opening a game each day, not playing it just opening it. Took over 4 months to earn it but hey it's money I now don't have to spend.

They also didn't jack up gamepass at all, it was Xbox live gold that they hoped the cost of and it's been obvious for a while they are clearly aiming at getting rid of the service and rolling it in to gamepass. Not defending doubling the price but as a lot of GPU members get it by converting gold they were probably just trying the stop those users spamming the system they've created.

        • I’ve been doing the Microsoft rewards points and Xbox gamepass ones - not as good as other countries (10,000 points for 10,000 gamer score wasn’t offered here for example) so second this :)
