Those pre-discount prices are full NZ retail on SRAM's top-end equivalent of Shimano's Dura Ace so yeah they are a bit spendy, but they are the best components you can get. The $2.5k crank has a power meter built in. The bike boom means there is no incentive to reduce prices at the top end, but the technology will filter down to lower-end groupsets eventually.
Last time I needed a new groupset (or parts of) I just bought a near new second hand bike someone was offloading - that I knew wasn't stolen :O
Got a current gen group set for next to nothing after I on-sold all the remaining parts of the bike. But yeah its silly money; I suppose they need to recoup the money they give away to the bike manufacturers when they bundle them on their fleet :\ Who knows.
