  • Wish it was sooner as I need to burn off all those free or cheap burgers, coffee or chicken I have been consuming. Or…. I can stock up for winter, then burn it off then, yes yes.

Yeah go the bulk route. Stay warm in winter. I rate some old mates tip over at OzBargain:

If you run 58.14m today (round up to 60m if you're a beast) and keep increasing the distance by this amount each day, you'll be able to run the 10km by September 19.

This is easily the best way to train.

Source, I play video games all day so I'm an expert on commitment and achieving goals.

Seems a bit vague like what is the current record? Is it a proper record certificate or an "attempt" certificate?
Not sure why I'm asking though as I probably can't run 10km in one go haha.

    • My guess is that they don't even have one. This is the first attempt. I think they did a 5K record last year though.

  • I'm in for this, might aswell as I already run 10km 5 days a week ;p

  • Just to be pedantic, if it's a worldwide event and I run at 8am that morning (NZ time), while someone else on the west coast of the US runs at 11pm that night (their time), that's not really "in 24 hours", is it?

I call foul, and won't participate in protest of this gross error on their part.

    Now… where's that last $4 whopper I bought today?
