If you need to claim we’ll pay you $1,000 a month for up to three months to spend however you need to. Acceptance is guaranteed if you meet the eligibility criteria and there are no medical questions to answer, however pre-existing medical conditions are excluded.
Things you need to know
You need to be employed and working full-time (25 hours+ per week) to qualify for the benefits.
If you are self-employed, you must be working full time (25 hours+ per week) to qualify for temporary disability benefits.
You must be aged 18-55 to apply.
The policy ends six months after the insurance start date unless you are on claim at that time, in which case the policy will end when your claim ends.
Pre-existing medical conditions are excluded.
If you are made redundant, confirmation of your redundancy from your previous employer will be required.
If you are unable to work, there's a 30 day waiting period from claim date until you start receiving payments, and they'll be made for up to three months.
Injuries are covered straight away but stand down periods apply. You are not covered:
For any illness or disease which first occurs at least two months after the policy start date.
If you are made redundant in the first three months of the policy start date.
