Anyone had trouble using amex at pak n save. Got told today by a pak n save they no longer accept amex even though they have amex stickers on tills and pak n save is listed as an accepting merchant on the amex website. Rang amex and they said some pak n save have stopped accepting to which I replied maybe you take them off your website.
Cheers. Staff seems confused as did amex so I suspect this might be temporary.
I have seen notices up at PNS for many months advising that they don't take Amex at the moment, due to a 'technical issue' whatever that may mean.
I had assumed it meant all PNS (and NW and FourSquare) would be the same, but obviously not if at least PNS North of Auckland is taking it.

Yea my amex was rejected at Pak n Save Mt Albert. Sorta annoying because fuel and groceries are where I use my Amex the most
I can confirm I too also couldn't use my AMEX at Paknsave Mt Albert at the self service checkouts 3 months ago

Wasn't working at New World (Auckland Queen St) for a few weeks a couple months ago. They said technical issue / changing supplier / merchant? Working again there now though.
More recently I've noticed at New World and Countdown paywave doesn't always work, some tills fine but not others in the same store.
I’m waiting patiently for Amex to be included in Apple Pay…
Tamatea Pak n Save in Napier stopped accepting them back around January and they weren’t working for a few months, but when I tried again about 2 weeks ago it worked. So no idea what they’re doing. Maybe it’ll just be a temporary thing for your store too then they’ll sort it?
