[PC / EA Play Desktop] Biomutant $4.90 ($4.49 approx. with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) @ EA Play

20

Currently $104.90 on Steam (pre-order)

For some reason Biomutant (standard edition + DLC) is available to purchase for $4.90 on the EA Desktop app. The receipt says 'BIOMUTANT - The Mercenary Class' but comments over at r/Gamedeals reckon that there's no way to preorder DLC's.

STEPS

  • Download the EA Beta desktop App.
  • Create account / login
  • Search for Biomutant and purchase.
  • Comes to $4.90 total.

Worth a $5 gamble I reckon. Here's my receipt.
EA app reckons I've preordered the standard edition.

  • Can this be bought for Xbox one?

    • Bugger

  • I'm shooting my shot. My papal says I got charged twice for 4.90, other payment is pending but so far only one payment is showing up on my BNZ app.
Receipt shows for BIOMUTANT - Mercenary Class but if I check the store page, it says I own the standard edition.

So either we're getting $5 DLC for a game we dont own, or a new game for $5

    • 6am tomorrow. We're either game owners or DLC buyers.

      • I saw a screenshot of someone that has talked to the Origin support and they said it was just the DLC and people have been advised to buy it on origin, was posted on the GameDeals post. I didn't receive any e-mail yet but I can see I don't own it on origin, only on the EA Desktop client.
I have a feeling something got messed up which is why the receipts all say mercenary class but the app thinks we own the whole game and just changed the flag to "You own the standard edition". Here's hoping

        • I got chicken legs and asked for a refund. Apparently it's downloadable now through Origin. Give it a go.

Edit* I'm still able to download it. Win.

          • @Wakrak: Gonna check after work, you able to download it through origin as well? Or just the EA Desktop app

            • @Vena: Unsure about EA Desktop. I did it through Origin.

              • +1

@Wakrak: Downloading now on Origin, looks like the deal ended up working in the end! Churr

  • They just fixed it! Missed out. Good luck!
