100 Free Tyre Tread Checker Keyrings @ NZTA

120

x100 Free Tyre Tread Checker Keyrings at NZTA.

Today I had a new set of tyres put on my car, while I was in the waiting room there was a box full of free tyre tread checker keyrings. I grabbed one to keep in the glove box. I decided to search the item and found the NZTA website that says you can order them for free.

In each free order there is a bundle of 20 tyre tread checker keyrings. You can order x5 bundles equalling 100 tyre tread checker keyrings.

These are the details as stated on the website:

How to order

• There are 20 key rings per bundle
• Limit 100 key rings (5 bundles) per order
• Use the order form to request tyre tread checkers – search the catalogue for ‘keyrings’, select quantity, fill in your contact and delivery details, and place the order
• If you require more than the stated limit - request your quantity required. Under the ‘order reason’ state why you require more
• Requests for orders above the limit will be considered on a case by case basis.

There is a search catalogue button where you can find the item

  • Got it now, it's on the list if you scroll down. Thanks!

  • Did it come with an instruction on how to use them?. Also I think these are for businesses only? Just that it asked for your company name. Lol

    • i believe you hold it near the tyre as in pic and it lights up green or red depending on condition, may need to replace batteries eventually. Hope that helps.

      • They might be a one use only tho? That's why you get 100

        • i believe the orange colour means replace battery, so yes good idea just throw it away instead

You poke them into the tread and see how shallow it is. There are instructions on the card.

There are no lights or batteries involved, it's just a painted metal disc.

  • You can also just wander into NZTA and there's a huge bowl of them on the table.

It will be awkward if I take the whole bowl…

Only awkward if you make it awkward 😁

      • Lol The Hound and wowbigdeal, too funny, this thread is getting a lot of … mileage!

        • +1

Not a lot of mileage with bald tyres. Just another reason to get a pile of these tyre tread checker key rings.

          • @wowbigdeal: Hey what do you advise re company name? I don’t want mine to all turn up where I work… lol. Is there a workaround for this anyone?

            • +1

@Cashmere: I recommend getting these sent straight to your place of work. That way you can be a local hero by handing them out to everyone. That'd be awesome 😁👍

          • @wowbigdeal: Haha, yes, true. Thank you for sharing this with us!

  • Saw them at local garage but assumed they'd cost so didn't ask. Ordered some, will see if they turn up. Just one lot though, 20/25 is plenty to share around.

  • Free shipping?

    • +1
