  • Should be able to get 10% off as it's over $300? And then use Zip to get another $20 off (in another post).

    • yes you are correct i'll update

  • Just noting that this is the v7 - I would suggest looking at the v10 at least (v11 is much less likely to get discounted).

You should be able to negotiate the v10 down if you find the right store (Harvey Norman probably never sell anything at sticker price!), but maybe today is the worst day for that (first of the month - last weekend was end of the sales month). For the v10 'Pet', I would say you'd likely get them below $900 without too much trouble, and maybe closer to $800 if the end of the month. I got ours for $840 near the start of the year. If they won't talk turkey, just walk away to somewhere else, but leave them your phone number :-)

However, this is a good price for the v7 I believe.

Also, watch out for old batteries - some of the units have been manufactured a few years ago and sat around (not v11 at this point, but possibly v10 and certainly older models). The batteries might fail quite quickly, but Dyson should be willing to replace if you have bought direct from their approved suppliers, otherwise you will have to 'discuss' with whoever you bought it from. I would not anticipate any problems getting a replacement if you've bought from 'TheMarket' though.

    Alan.

v10 would still be double the price to this so depends on some peoples affordability.

But yeah you get what you pay for especially the vacuum market.
My brothers finally going Sebo K1 Pet or Miele cat and dog c3 after years of dealing with crap vacuums especially hoovers, tend to fall apart after 2yrs even in the expensive price range.

With Zip $20 off, this becomes the cheapest its ever been in pricespy history.

Harvey Norman does have these on special atm as well

But I'd goto Noel Leeming get them to match the $699 and then use Zip for that further @$20 off

      • When mum first got the Miele C3(not pet) we had to turn it down to 1.5 on the dial to be able to move it across the carpet, she was worried it was going to suck the nails out of the floorboards.

      • The older model Miele was more powerful at 2200 W and the newer C3 models reduce to 2000 W under EU regulations and down to 1600 W in future models. I have the older 2200 W pet model for about seven years now and the only thing to complain about was I got rid of was the expensive carbon filter. I have the Dyson big ball in my workshop and the only good thing about it is it doesn't block and it's bagless but compare to the Miele it's a piece of junk. The Miele would easily have twice the suction and built to last 20 years.

  • I always try find the vacuum model on Vacuum Wars Youtube Channel before buying any vacuums. He does great vacuum cleaner reviews!
