I have already received my 500 points from May.
They are basically giving away $3.75 worth countdown points.
ps. If you don't shop regularly at countdown like me, go ther once and get any 4 items, seperate them into 4 transactions. Worked for me in May.
I made the mistake last time of having the Countdown app in dark-mode, making it impossible for the scanner to pick up my barcode. Switched to light mode and voila!
You need 2000 points in a 12-month period to be able to redeem points at all, right?
not sure about the expiry period but 2000points should get you a $15 voucher.

Maybe a little trick for you next time when you are there. I don't really shop at countdown at all, but just for the sake of having 500 points, I went in and bought 4 cheapest items and did 4 transactions at self-checkout. It apparently worked :)

Does the countdown app add any extra characters in the barcode?
I have been using Google Pay (manually entered the card number myself)
Went to check the content myself, they are the same so it should work

good point, not sure how the machine decide if it's scanned a plastic card or phone screen

You can only scan once per transaction, so yeah, 4 separate transactions are required.

Whoops fairly sure I missed last month's. I thought it was 500 points for 4 scans for the promotion period, not 500 points for 4 scans per calendar month so wasn't in a rush
apparently they advertised it in May saying 4 times in a calendar month, and running the promotion again in June.
Actually it was advertised end of April, with deal ending 30th June. It wasn't super clear whether you'd get points for both months.

Maybe they've changed their reward sometime half way? I received email on3/6 confirming my 500 points earning from May and info about the promotion for June.
@Fuzzy Peach: I didn't really read the details that well so it might have said end of calendar month. I just saw something about the promotion ending on 30th June and thought okay I have a long time so no rush.

just a tip with older countdown scanners, it doesn't seem to like the barcode via the countdown app. Take a screen shot of the barcode and enlarge it when scanning
