      • Nvm, it was the other model my bad šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

        • +1

haha yeah, these are much better.

    • That is basically how the law works. Warehouse are probably really toeing the regular-sale line with this one.

  • I have two Logitech Z623, thx / lucas arts since few years now , they sound incredible ,

they are computer speakers I use it with my precision m4800 dell as work station

And one with my Samsung TV connected via mi android TV sounds amazing with movies songs

I got them via trade me 2nd hand around 100 ISH nzd they were in good condition .

I have never yet come across any speaker better then this for the size and cost

    • I have the same logitech speakers, i was considering upgrading - but not sure if its worth it. one set are my computer speakers, and the other is attached to the bedroom TV.
      & the z906 in the lounge šŸ˜…

    • yeah i still got my logitech z5500 from a decade ago, at the family home but using logitech z600's

atm but most other Logitech speaker stuff are pretty crap.
Hence keeping and eye on these if my z600's crap out.

      • A decade ago I recall Edifier being very basic (and crap) and look at them now…

    • Surprised those speakers are still going for $200+ brand new. Pretty sure I bought the Z623 for $200 back in 2012! Sold mine last year for $120 on TM and got a pair of Edifier R1280DB for a hundy.

  • Agh! I want these but I cant fit them on my desk with my 2 monitors :( Feel like they would be useless hiding behind the monitors

    • wall mount?

      • Dont want to drill into the wall as I may be moving this year possibly

    • +1

Get a desktop monitor mount to create some more space

      • Only 1 monitor (the main one) is able to be mounted, I was looking at the Kogan desk monitor mount (but wont really create more space), it only ships in september

    • i have same issue, desk with 2 monitors :( might have to think some ways mounting it under the desk may be

  • I've got a couple Amazon Echo's (full size, not the Dot version) hooked up with a 3.5m stereo breakout cable. Anyone have any views if these Edifer's would sound better?

    • +2

The edifiers probably aren't deeply invading your privacy in stereo.

      • +4

Meh, I have Facebook, Gmail, Uber/UberEats, Countdown Clubcard, a mobile phone, home fiber broadband, a credit score and god knows what else.

I've also had my passport information, drivers license and bank cards scanned in some very dubious countries by dubious government entities and other establishments.

I've also seen there's a new type of CCTV camera, perhaps number plate recognition, covering all across the motorways in Auckland (looks like a pair of binoculars, I kid you not)

And when I get the COVID vaccine with the chip in it…..

I'm sure they are all harvesting individual and aggregate data but I don't want to live "off grid".

If Amazon really care about the fact I want to ask their device what the weather will be like tomorrow so be it.

        • yeah man, they need to know when we poo.
