Got one. RC range varies between 20cm - 2m. I think it might have bad antenna/transmitter. I'm returning it. Sometimes have to hold control directly above and really close to the car for it to work.

The control takes 2xAA battery and you plug the car into the controller to charge the little car.

    Got a second replacement. Also terrible range. Might be an interference device in my home on a similar frequency then.
