  • Only for first time foodies unfortunately or as you say, inactive accounts

  • The same code also works on My Food Bag. Just ordered a box and got 50% off :)

  • Thanks

  • Not working for my inactive account unfortunately!

    • +1

I messaged them as it wasn't working for me either and they apologised and said it should, and applied it for me from their end.

  • On my inactive account the code is accepted. I can see

    Upcoming Promos
    JULY
    for 50.00 % off

However, the "order summary" for next week still shows full price.

    Order Summary
    My Choice
    Total Price: $202.99

Will I be charged full price?

  • Worked for me.

Discount came off and the payment screen showed $94 for the 5 meals for 6 people

  • Thank you ordered my first my food bag.

  • Thanks!!

  • thanks $53 for 3 meals for four people cheaper than supermarkets… sad and good at the same time!!

  • I've never ordered a food box before. Is the food packaged well enough for long term storage? I live alone but thinking of buying the 5 meals for 6 for better value!

    • +1

Might not be a good idea. Veges are fresh and some may even be chopped/cut and packed. Some things like meat you might get away by freezing it.

2 weeks might be ok depending on the menu.

    • +1

It is sealed well but its meant to be consumed within a week.
You can freeze meat, vege won't last unless you freeze, but won't be as nice thawed, sauces last a bit longer but not much. Spices last as long as moisture doesn't get in.
      Kumara, pumpkin lasts ages.

We spread ours across two weeks, but choose the meals accordingly - chicken gets cooked straight away, other meats and shorter term veges within the first week, and spread out the longer term recipes (potatoes, stews, canned, etc) across the second week. Other option is to consider whether you might be able to cook the recipes then freeze them - works well for stews, curries, etc. Just gotta be a bit more flexible.

As someone who live alone, and just did this

*Make sure your fridge is almost empty or close to it for when your box arrives (This ones important if you have a small fridge)
*Reciepe cards on hello fresh had the ingrediants so basically took out all that would go bad and shoved it into the fridge
*Then made stuff based on what would get wasted first or requires the most use of veges and stuff

it's lasted me almost 2 weeks and thats lunch and dinner and breakfast at times.

Thanks for the feedback team! Didn't really consider that I could just ignore the meals and use/freeze the ingredients accordingly, or that I can just cook the meals and freeze them.

  • How do you see the menu before registering

    Nvm found it.

  • During the checkout I got charged 50%. But now within the subscription it's showing me full price for next delivery. Is that correct? Even my 50% charge on my credit card is reversed ?

  • I got answer from MFB: The discount only applies to the 2nd Aug delivery. If your first delivery is after that one you still have to pay full price.

    • I have selected 2nd August delivery.

    • is it only 2nd aug or anytime before and upto? meaning this coming week as well?

      • +1

From Ts&Cs: Offer expires midnight Sunday 25 July 2021 and is available for first deliveries 31 July-2 August 2021 only with 50% off your order. Second delivery with free Chocolate Pudding must be taken 7-9 August 2021.

        • Crap. Just seeing this now. I have selected 9th August. Is there amy way to change this?

          • @NzShane: I think so. Before midnight tonight is the cut off maybe. Not sure

            • @ace310: Couldnt figure it out on the App but managed to change it to the 1st on the website. Thanks:)

  • Also my last MFB delivery was 13th of June and this promo code has worked for me.

Sorry all free HelloFresh boxes gone. Looks like their referral gives people $100 off a box though (and $50 for me!!) so if you are interested in that you can still send me a PM ;)

Pretty sure that should allow you to get a small free box still.

  • Does the referral stack with this for new users?

    • Yes but not quite. If you sign up for a $200 bag and get $30 referral, you'll have to pay ($200-30)/2=$85, NOT $200/2-$30=$70 as you would like.

      • Ahh wouldnt work then since I get the veggie boxes

wait it would be ($105-$30)=$70/2=$35 right?

        • Yes, I think so.

          • @sunshinenz: hmmm so you can only enter one code at signup screen so either a referral or the july code.

            • @Huntakillaz: Oops. Looks like it works with referal credit for referer. For referee it's a code instead of a credit so can't stack with another code. (I have a referal credit from a colleague signing up last year. I haven't used my account for 16 months.)

To all who order vegetarian box, make sure to check recipes for eggs if are not eating. Luckily I checked and there are eggs in 8th Aug box. I dont eat eggs so it matters to me.

  • Most likely my own fault but when I changed my date from the 9th august to the 1st was charged full whack. Called there Customer service teame and they advised they will sort it. I imagine the refund will take a little while to process.
