Trick is to try and get multiple accounts with hello fresh. refer them all to one another etc ideally but the point is these 50% off etc codes you can push them out for seemingly indefinitely . So i just have three or so accounts on the go and once a new 50% off code is discovered I reactivate them all with the same code and then skip weeks on the accounts I don't need.. means you can even still use the discount past it's expiry date

  • Didn't work for me. I have my account deactivated. Do you guys reactivate and then use the code or before?

    • Deactivate it then go to your main screen/menu screen. Then it will ask you 'reactivate and choose meals' or similar and next to it says 'promo code?' or similar. Click that and enter code, and then it will show you what the discounted price will be per serving. Then click the reactivate button.

      • Tried that. It says entered code is not correct.

Tried the other code posted above as well.

        • I just removed the code from one of my accounts and now neither my original code or the one posted above is working. How odd…
Does it give you any error message at all?

  • Can anyone else confirm if the code worked for them? Else I think maybe needs to be marked as targeted

    • Most likely targeted. It just says code entered is not correct.

It's pretty sad they're constantly rewarding leavers with discounts but not their good staying customers. Power companies and broadband operate exactly the same way.

"Hopefully they forget to cancel" is a pretty shitty business model.

    • Theres nothing to stop you ringing your broadband/power company and asking for a better deal as an existing customer, we do every 12/24 months depending on deal terms. Essentially we only pay 10/12months a year for broadband for the past decade, we only churned twice in that time when they declined. The power+gas incentives were actually really good too for churning.

I get it's annoying, it's this way in every business to incentivise new customers and make the bulk of the profit off existing ones.

Remember the absolute minority are us here on cheapies probbably not even 0.1% … most just go with the flow. It would be massively more costly to reward the masses.

Its also why they don't seem to care about all this sort of thing and people with multi accounts. Im sure they know, but its so minor its not worth worrying about, the everyday person just pays full price each week.

I just found my elderly dad has been paying Vodafone $69 a month for the last 5-10 years for some ancient plan with 1gb data and 100mins. I only found out as he exceeded his 100mins by like 60mins (ironically on hold) and they billed him $1.20c per min - so his bill was a lot higher and he asked me why. These companies are basically just assholes, they are happy to just bank his money, loyalty means nothing to them.

      • (Off topic)

Vodafone employee here, though I’m on the Enterprise side of things so I’m not 100% sure about our regular plans.

I’m pretty sure we have an established process to deal with unusually high bills, especially where customers are on older plans. I’d recommend giving us a call to see what we can do about the excess charges.

        • Thanks for the reply. Im less worried about the $80 extra - more the 5 years on a bill that charges a lot more than the going rate for a lot less actual service and noone said a thing. Cant be that hard for them to reach to people on super old plans and ask them why. Sure he could have done stuff… but you know old people, to loyal.

          • @Meridian: They definitely do contact people on old plans.

Of course that's only if they release a plan then later decide they don't want people on it anymore because they realise people would have paid more for it. Such as past forays into unlimited data mobile plans.

  • Sorry may have needed to click the activate button. So try HS-JQONZ7NX8 again now…..
