Here you go, just saw this yesterday when browsing The Warehouse site. USB 3.0, 2TB, good brand. $89 or $79 if you use the $10 off $75 orders giveit coupon available through the Warehouse app. Plus you can use a free shipping code or get free shipping with app purchases for a limited time.

  • While portable USB hard drives are ok if you never move them around
I generally recommend staying away from them if you do car them, as if the usb controller fails its often difficult to recover data from as they don't usually have a sata connector inside while the bigger external desktop drives do(meaning you can plug it into any pc still)

also if you can afford it $/TB a 6tb is the sweet spot atm

      • I have a external Seagate Expansion Desktop Drive 8TB which i plug in and backup to now and then. I dare not leave it connected, in case a power surge or something causes data loss.
If you need more space then i suggest a large drive for backup and a smaller one to use daily.
Or if your notebook can take larger ssd/nvme drives then do a upgrade

I usually get my drives from amazon as it's cheapest especially during black Friday/lightning deal days.
Best to keep an eye on ozbargin for deals to come up

      • What drive do you have in your notebook atm?

use crystal disk info or hwinfo portable versions to see its details

  • Im trying to find deals on a 10-14tb haven't seen any decent deals for awhile. nothing on amazon either. picked up a 12tb last year for $340 should have gotten another one at the time

      • It was off amazon last july/august. they were on sale at the time. that was $340 delivered. where as now they're $495 delivered for the same one

  • 5TB for $170 on the market
