  • Anybody got this and thoughts on the product?

    • I bought this for $500 with 3 Yr warranty. We have 3 bedroom home and it's the only vacuum that is used. We also have a Philips corded one but that has gone to storage.
I like how easy it is to use. Have never gone over 30 mins though while vacuuming. But for 30 mins it's good.

  • I'd personally pick the new design over this. it's quite messy to take the dust out.

      If only it wasn't $1100 more huh…

  • Does anyone prefer these over the corded vacuums? I would think they cant be nearly as powerful, has anyone had any experience comparing the two?.

i prefer mine but its because i have a smaller home so one battery charge is more than enough. its just alot less hassle moving around as you go. also the rotation of the head allows it to access some fairly tight spots.

love the docking station i bought for mine off 1day. makes charging a breeze and very neat way to store all the accessories.

the max mode is really good for removing large amounts of debris from carpet (e.g. plasterboard dust after drilling holes).

but yeah i think the size of your home is a big factor, and how much you clean at a time, since it can take a while to charge.

i used a v6 and currently a v11, plenty of juice to vacuum a 3 bedroom house with 3 kids leaving trails of destruction every few hours.
plenty of power too, havent used our corded one which is gathering dust in the garage

We've had our v7 for more than 2 years and it's good! The principle is different: the suction is not that great, but instead it uses that rolling thing to lift the dust out.

The dust compartment gets fool after just one room, but you don't see any of that on the floor!

Some people complained the battery might accidentally die, but that hasn't happen to us.

For good suction I've got a corded Ryobi wet/dry vacuum, but don't really use it at home.
(I would probably get a Ryobi brushless stick vac instead, but I started getting those tools a bit later).

      Best purchase I've made.

Been through many corded vacuums only to have each and every single one break on me.

Upgraded from V8 to the V11 over the past 4 years. I've made sure I switched before the 2-year warranty runs out just as a precaution.

As a vacuum cleaner, works perfectly. I don't have to worry about the power cord and plenty of oomph to go through the whole house.

I find myself doing only a couple of rooms at a time and then rotating throughout the week instead of all at once just because it's so easy to just pick up and use instantly.

I have two V6 models don't really come close to Miele vacuum cleaner and not meant to especially in a large house but great for convenience, the downside is the battery life is about two to three years for both of mine and $100 a battery to replace.

      • same here just replaced our battery at around 2-3 years at $100 cost.

        • Got a replacement battery from Aliexpress for $42 shipped. The product had a decent review. Have used it for nearly a year and we are quite happy with it.

    • If you compare the suction power the corded ones are better. If you don't like dragging the cord around and like the pick up and go, then go for the battery ones. But if you have a large house go for the corded ones.

I'm glad im not the only one who watches Vacuum Wars

        • Haha, I found robot vacuum cleaners pretty interesting, so when I ran across his reputation in an unrelated subreddit, he was my first port of call when deciding which products to consider as the family robo-vac. Got the roborock s7 for like $950 at gearbite!!

  • It's a good vaccuum! I scored one for $56 through my work. For $399 id say its probably better than any other stick vac.

    • $56! How on earth!

I work for one of [ noel leeming, harvey norman, jbhifi, smiths city ] and it was a final model with no cost price set. Absolute steal.

  • Our house is majority hard floor, does anyone have this and how do you find it on hard floors - does it suction well? Thanks!

    • I don't have a v7, but with a v8 and v10 I know the motor head is rubbish on hard floors. The fluffy head on the other hand is brilliant.
Not sure about the newest models, I think they don't do the fluffy head anymore so maybe the tech has improved.
