Persil 3kg 2 for $10 at Bargain Chemist

340

Pretty good deal I thought.

A 2kg Persil normally retails on special for around $10 at NZ supermarkets so 6kg for $10 is an absolute bargain!

Plus spend $50 or more and get free shipping.

UPDATE: Some varieties now sold out. Check the website for latest stock.

  • Thanks OP! Grabbed a few + some deodorant to get a $50 spend.

  • Does anyone know if this is septic tank safe?

  • Few good deals in there, but the Persil looks to be the best.

    Thanks!

    Alan.

  • 30kg (3kgx10) for 50 bucks, free shipping.

That's a lot of washing powder. Too bad we only use liquid detergent now :)

      • +2

Where do you get your liquid from?
I normally get Persil Professional Laundry Liquid 4.2L from https://www.warehousestationery.co.nz/product/W2598094.html price matched at Bunnings $17

        • I buy 'Cold Power Sensitive Liquid' because Persil makes my partner itchy. PaknSave currently sells the 1.8L for $6.99.

Usually get it from New World though. I get 10 or so Flybuys points a week from doing surveys which gets turned into New World dollars = buy more Cold Power.

Keen to try some of the other brands listed on Comsumers top detergent list

@Wakrak: Easy solution…. Seems like a new partner is in order, then you can save heaps by stocking up on this Persil.

@Kiwi: 😄 Just go caveman style if there is no one to impress. No clothes = no need for detergent. Level 4 social distancing approved ✔️

@Wakrak: Just remember to clean the leather couches once in a while

          • @Wakrak: They used to have persil professional sensitive, but haven't seen it in a while

        • That's a good price. I like the smell of Shotz and Surf but looks like they are not on the top list from Consumers. Will look into this Persil one from Bunnings. Thanks

    • Its a limit of 4 I think so can only spend $20 max. Have to buy other items to get the free shipping.

      • lots of different types of persil. you can mix and match as long as one type is max of 4.

  • You'll have to order multiple varieties as it's only 4 bags of each allowed per person. We ordered 4 of the normal and sensitive each then topped up with some other cheap bits. Got 48Kg if washing powder on the way 😁

It's Russian persil if that makes any difference to anyone.

      Sorry :-)

  • My wife is happy!

    Thanks!

  • Went to buy this, total order came to $100 because of all their other specials/things I needed anyway lol

  • I just drove down to my local bargain chemist to buy these. I can confirm these are the Russian variant of Persil.

What would be the difference? Just the manufacturer (import/export from)? Or the actual formula? Cheers

      • I've got no idea. But if comparing to other parallel imported items such a Milo and Coke, you would have assume there could be a difference in formula compared to NZ retail versions.

        • Yes. I mean I don't know about Milo but Coke tasted a bit different, so there could be a difference in the actual formula I guess. Considering differences in "standards" among different countries as well.

          • @Totto: Not sure if this is the reason. This article is saying that they need to update their packaging based on their local laws.

            http://en.fas.gov.ru/press-center/news/detail.html?id=54947

            • @domon07: Wow you are amazing in digging deeper and get such info. So it seems like there may be differences in the content (formula) for different markets (or at least there are dual quality issues) but the problem is that the brand and packaging are the same? Thus there was something to be done about the packaging and the info on the packaging from late last year (at least for the EEU) according to the press release of FAS.
Well anyway shame I missed out on this deal :(

  • Are these good for a top loader?

  • After doing a bit of research it seems like the powder is from Turkey. There are many bulk listings of the powder on Alibaba.

  • We ordered ours back on the 13th for 4 sensitive and 4 normal each, just had my normal persil turn up today and my partner who ordered second got her sensitive ones last week. Had a packing slip in with my order saying they have refunded the bags of sensitive so I wouldn't hold out on receiving it if you ordered after this was posted.

No communication whatsoever about the lack of stock and just noticed we do indeed have a $20 refund on our card. Might be worth checking if you will actually get them as we can't even get hold of them to find out where our last batch is.

Has anyone had their order shipped yet? We placed two orders on Sunday evening, no updates yet.

    • Mine shipped today. Lots of delays at the moment due to the lockdown.

    • My order done Sunday night shipped this afternoon

      • Interesting - my order placed on 22 Aug 2021 has still not shipped.

        Not very impressed.

        Alan.

        • My partner called them yesterday as they split her shipment, they apologized and it's been delivered today.

They resent the items she already had as well. So from 2 orders we placed I ordered first and had my sensitive stuff cancelled and refunded. She's received 8 bags of it. Not entirely certain the team at the Northwood branch know what they are doing.

  • Just got our vaccines at eastgate branch and they had loads left on the shelves. Anyone after some might still be able to pick some up in store.

  • Just received today morning from Christ church to Auckland.
