I'm interested in hearing people's experience with the free shipping option versus paying for the US$35 tariff insurance. I'm pretty sure they're not GST registered as they would sell fairly low volume to New Zealand, so I'm wondering if it's necessary. Since the GST laws were revamped, isn't it now on the onus of the vendor to be GST compliant? Or are customs still inspecting every parcel to see if GST has been paid or not?

Shipping Fees & Time
Worldwide free shipping, however, it doesn't apply certain selected remote locations. After placing the order, it takes 5~7 business days to processing the order.
Tariff insurance
If you're concerned about the tax, you can purchase an extra USD$35 tariff insurance.
We'll cover the full tax if you are required to pay for the customs.
1) Keep the customs payment certificate
2) Send the payment slip to us
3) The refund will be processed within 1-2 working days to your original payment method.
If it's less than $1000 (including shipping) then customs assume GST has been collected by the retailer (or not if they're under the volume threshold). Customs will only demand GST from you if it's over $1000.
