I signed up a couple of days ago with a VPN set to Argentina (thanks to a tip in the Amazon thread). You can get HiFi for ~$2 per month. I used a CyberGhost 24hr trial.

  • If a family member signs-up to either Family plan with a new account then can they share with a family member with an old account?

    • Sorry, I don’t know about that one.
All I can say is that it’s free for 3 months so give it a try - nothing to lose!

I only just signed up when I saw the offer so not experienced enough on how that works.

In the past it worked with Spotify Premium but didn't with Apple Music.

  • My 6 months free from the last deal just ran out. I liked it and did notice a difference over YouTube music in quality, but it's incredibly subtle and going back to YouTube I barely noticed the loss in quality on my mediocre equipment. Its worth a try for free but I don't think I'd be willing to pay to full price.

I got a similar deal for 6 months that ran out recently. It's pretty similar to any other service like Spotify. Is the quality better? Marginally, depending on your equipment - but for most situations, not really. Is it worth it? For free, sure…and there is the rub - they charged me for the full subscription the day it ended, even though I cancelled the subscription minutes after it was created. The support team were useless robots that ignored my proof of a cancellation email. Eventually resolved after a lot of unnecessary drama by getting a charge back on my credit card.

I won't use them again and wouldn't recommend. Since my experience 8be seen countless similar stories. So if you try it out, be prepared.
