They don't have any graphics card on sale, neither does most NZ stores. Is this because of the chip shortage?
Yup, Gpu's are at all time high, hence why consoles are in hot demand atm as it's cheaper than building a pc atm
Yes and mining, people out there have 30+ cards, many have contacts that reserve them before they advertised in stock.
im not sure if its changed now but it was like this at the start of the year, i got my gpu like this.

Prices are expected to go down but might be some time before then you could try the used market for a 20 series they are still great cards
I feel that. I'm still sitting here myself with a GTX660 and after 7-8 years its somehow still running strong - Definitely do need to work on building a PC at some point
If you can wait it out 1-2 more years and jump to AM5
OR
wait for AM5 to come out and get cheap 2nd hand Ryzen 3000/5000 AM4 systems
Else Intels new stuff
Yeah, i'm probably not going to build a new PC for at least a few months if not 1-2 years so I think i'll play the waiting game and hope they go down in price
