  • When I look at the price history for WF-1000XM3 (previous generation) on PriceSpy I see that price dropped quite a bit farly soon after they were released:

The WM series (over-ear headphones) had a big price drop too. I think I'm going to wait until next year on these WFs, hopefully they'll be under $300 by then.

    • I got mine my WF-1000XM3 for $230 mid this year, definitely pays to wait, they're great set of headphones and the new ones are even better but I cannot personally justify that price given they're essentially disposable once the battery life goes to crap in 2-3 years

      • +1

I've owned a pair of Jabra 65t (same form factor) since 2018 and even with daily use the battery life is as good as ever. Maybe I'm just lucky but I think batteries are generally pretty long-lasting these days.

        • Good to hear, also the XM3 can be pried apart and replacing the batteries yourself (does ruin its very little water resistence though..)

  • I bought the over ear version of these a few weeks ago when the last advertised deal was on. Really good headphones with solid audio quality.. but what I didn't know before was that these don't work particularly well with some third party platforms such as Microsoft teams and discord etc. So as much as I'd like to use the for everything I can't use them for meetings or gaming but still get plenty of other use from them.

    • I guess you use it with PC? It should work fine with Android or Apple devices, but Bluetooth is generally weird on computers and better off with wired connection.
