Samsung Business EPP Store Discounts

Hi there, just wondering if anyone was willing to let me buy the Samsung fold 3 with their business discount on Samsung store? It's a pretty nice discount I would just need to make my order and that's it. I have the education store but the business one seems like an even better discount! Thanks so much.

  • I have a Samsung EPP account from my old job, I may be able to help, let me know.

  • Can you sign in?

  • I have the Samsung student account - does it have the same deal with the business acc?

    • Majority yes but some have random like sales in the EPP extra 5% off for example and appliance like washing machines and fridges

  • +1

Business is better …. so i have heard

    • Not always, Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 SSD - 500GB is 30% OFF at $104.31 Save $44.70 (Was $149.01) on business
and $99 at pbtech black friday sale.

  • That's so frustrating for an 'ordinary' purchaser. Why is it that the ordinary person, yeah a 'wage slave' like me is subsidising other buyers such as businesses ? Why should I pay 33% more than a business for my new Samsung Tablet ?

Am considering buying a Samsung Tablet. Does anyone have a working discount code ? I managed to get a 10% one time use code from Samsung but 25% sounds a lot better. I work hard for my money and if I can stretch it a bit that's great.

    • students get some sort of discount too… if you can nab some uni students email account.

tip: some universities never expire their student emails. like uni of auckland… [email protected] lives on forever (along with unlimited google drive storage)

My AUT account got deactivated after I graduated, no more access to Microsoft Office, no access to Blackboard or Arion and no longer receive emails to my hotmail (that's linked to .ac.nz)

      • Whilst that sounds good, I would always be waiting for the day it goes away without warning.

Good for storing tertiary backups though - if you lose access, you just find somewhere else to store them :-)

        Alan.

      • Heads up, the unlimited google drive storage is going away sometime next year. You will need to migrate your files off google drive

        • Is that for Google Apps for Education (or whatever they are calling it this week) in general, or just for Auckland Uni accounts?

          Alan.

          • @Alan6984: Google for Education, So every university that uses google drive will be affected.

            • @psychowei: whats the limit gonna be?

              • +1

                @huffboy: 100TB pool.

We recently announced a storage model that provides schools and universities with a baseline of 100 TB of pooled storage shared across all users. The model provides enough storage for over 100 million documents, 8 million presentations, or 400,000 hours of video. This model goes into effect across all Google Workspace for Education editions for existing customers in July 2022 and will be effective for new customers who sign up in 2022.

                • @Kiwi: i guess bigger universities with bigger student base gona get smaller gbs

                  • +1

@huffboy: Does go on to say they may increase it if there are over 20,000 users. Has to be requested by the institute.

                    • @Kiwi: At 20,000 users, 100TB is only 5GB per user?

You'd be better off with a personal GMail account, or is my maths off?

                      Alan.

      • Hmm how can I get a auck uni email address?

    • Do the business ones exclude themselves from CGA? That may contribute a little bit (but certainly not 33%) to the price.

      • Almost certainly I would think - many, if not most, B2B sales explicitly exclude the CGA.

I realise it might be hard to see sometimes, but the costs of dealing with the public (retail) are actually quite high. We used to do retail sales (never promoted it, just word of mouth), but we decided to just refuse completely some years ago, as it is just too much hassle dealing with the vast majority of people who are, to be blunt, clueless, entitled, idiots.

With business transactions, the other party is generally switched on - if they weren't, they probably would not survive, and the few that are idiots are only temporary - they'll usually be gone in the near future, which means things are generally simple and efficient.

Very few people who are not in business themselves, even those that work within businesses, would have very little comprehension - most employees just wander through their days doing their jobs and not really understanding the world in which they live.

The CGA itself adds substantial risk and cost into retail transactions and prices. I would suspect that most people think that something like the CGA is literally, an absolutely good thing, without any downsides at all - they won't have a clue about what effects it really has, and the impact it has on retail markets.

Don't get me wrong - I believe it is probably better to have the CGA than not (the overall benefits probably outweigh the costs), but there are no free lunches, and the costs that the CGA introduces to the economy have to be borne somewhere. That means that for the vast majority of products and services, it is absorbed from the 'consumer surplus' at the end of the supply chain, by the end user, since in many supply chains, there is a significant consumer surplus, and the costs of the CGA will be borne / negotiated between the retailer and consumer.

Its all blindingly obvious when you think about it for more than ten seconds, but very few people do.

        Alan.

      • Not in the case of using the Samsung EPP Store. I've just logged into my account and checked the Ts&Cs - see #14 below:

Samsung Family Value Program Terms and Conditions

The Samsung Family Value Program (“Program”) is a benefit program provided by Samsung Electronics New Zealand Limited (“SENZ”) to selected partners (“Partner Organisations”) by which staff members of the Partner Organisation (“Users”) are provided access to Samsung products (“Products”) at special pricing.
Access to the Program is provided to Users on the following terms and conditions and Users agree to the following:

        1. Access to the Program and the benefits provided to Users is a special benefit not available to members of the general public. Access is provided at the sole discretion of SENZ and is subject to change at any time without notice.

        2. Users agree to comply with these terms and conditions (“Program Terms and Conditions”), clauses 1-9 and 11-24 of the SENZ’s general terms and conditions of sale (“General Sale Terms”) and the Samsung Family Value Program Returns Policy (“Program Returns Policy”), (together the “Terms and Conditions”). SENZ may change the Terms and Conditions at any time without notice. In the event of any conflict between the Program Terms and Conditions or the Program Returns Policy and the General Sale Terms, the Program Terms and Conditions or the Program Returns Policy (as applicable) will take precedence.

        3. A purchase under the Program is not a contract between SENZ and a User until the order for the Product is
dispatched, regardless of whether payment has been made by the User.

        4. Users may purchase Products from the Program for their own use, as well as on behalf of their immediate family members and friends.

        5. Users agree not to purchase a Product to resell it to a third party. On-selling of Products will be strictly monitored by SENZ and SENZ will exercise its rights set out in clauses 8 and 9 if on-selling occurs. IMEIs of mobile Products are recorded and SENZ reserves the right to track and trace any IMEIs sold through the Program for the purposes of monitoring compliance with these Terms and Conditions.

        6. Offers, benefits or promotions offered by SENZ separately from the Program are not available to Users in
          conjunction with a Program purchase.

        7. Users may be subject to purchasing quotas for Products and are entitled to various pricing benefits, as notified to Users from time to time. Program quota limits apply for calendar year periods and will refresh at the beginning of each calendar year.

        8. If a User has breached or is alleged to have breached any of the Terms and Conditions, SENZ in its absolute discretion may withdraw or suspend a User’s access to the Program without notice.

        9. If a User commits a Material Breach of the Program (as defined below), in addition to the its rights under clause 8 above, SENZ has absolute discretion to:
          a) cancel any or all orders placed by the User; and
          b) cancel any or all orders placed by other Users who are members of the same Partner Organisation (even if such other Users have not breached the Terms and Conditions themselves); and
          c) in the case of resale of a Product 12 months of purchase, claim from the User the difference between the Product’s recommended retail price (as at the date of purchase by the User) and the discounted price that the User paid for the Product under the Program.

        10. The following actions by a User are each a “Material Breach” of the Terms and Conditions:
          a) disclosing any prices or discounts offered under the Program to any retailer of the Products;
          b) requesting any retailer of the Products to match the price of a particular Product as offered under the Program;
          c) publishing in any medium (including on social media) or otherwise disclosing to any person (other than a family member or friend on whose behalf the Program user is purchasing a Product), any prices or discounts offered to the User under the Program;
          d) purchasing a Product to resell to a third party; and
          e) reselling a Product to a third party within twelve (12) months of purchase under the Program.

        11. If SENZ cancels any orders under clause 9(a) or (b), SENZ will refund any monies paid to SENZ for such orders upon cancellation.

        12. For the purposes of clause 10(b), Users agree that SENZ may obtain information from third parties advising SENZ of instances of requests of price-matching by Users. Users agree that such third parties are permitted to disclose this information to SENZ and any such disclosure is not a breach of any of the User’s rights under the Privacy Act 2020 or otherwise.

        13. Users agree that SENZ may disclose any details relating to breaches of these Terms and Conditions to the Partner Organisation to which the User belongs. Users agree that any such disclosure is not a breach of any of the User’s rights under the Privacy Act 2020 or otherwise.

        14. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify a User's rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. These Terms and Conditions must be read subject to those statutory provisions and will not affect any statutory rights that a claimant may have in relation to the return of a Product.

        • Whatever their 'Family Programme' is intended for, it is not for businesses - number five pretty much excludes B2B purchasers right there.

I suspect it was a different programme that @CheapThingsAreNice was referring to and I was commenting on:

          https://www.cheapies.nz/comment/100122/redir

          Alan.

          • @Alan6984: Ah, I presumed @CheapThingsAreNice was referring to individuals buying through a business-linked EPP account, as opposed to businesses buying through a B2B equivalent. Those terms above are what I get when I login to my business-linked EPP account (i.e. with my email address of a big org [not Samsung]) . Link: https://shop.samsung.com/nz/multistore/epp/samsung_external/. This gives me access to the 'Samsung Partners Store' where I can buy heavily discounted Samsung items (up to 50% off) which I believe is what the OP of the original post was asking about and wanting to utilise.

            • @TheDealMan: Could be - but the one that you posted the T&Cs for is definitely aimed at end users.

Regardless, nice to get access to that :-)

              Alan.

              • @Alan6984: Yeah absolutely, just family and friends of employees on the program.

Interested to get a hold of these business-level terms now. Presumably found somewhere here https://www.samsung.com/nz/business/ . Haven't found anything yet but I'll keep looking!

I must say it has been handy. It wasn't until very recently that I realised I even had it! :)

                • @TheDealMan: We used to deal with SamSung some years ago (we were a wholesaler - mainly onselling to places like hotels, motels, schools - we didn't bother with one or two units - had to be more like twenty panels at a time).

In general, our employees just bought from us at cost (any manufacturer we dealt with as long as they paid us up front before ordering, and subject to any MoQs / terms that the manufacturer might have had), but I never personally bought any of their stuff, not that there was anything wrong with it.

  • +1

Message me if you're still looking for someone to purchase, cheers

  • Anyone know how a business can join the Business EPP?

    • Interested to join our EPP?
Contact us to register your company now!
      https://shop.samsung.com/ph_epp/contact-us/

      • What information is required to be registered as Business?

        Other than company registration.

        • No idea, there are just generic fields.
I'd assume they email back with a form or something.

        • I've filled out the form. will see what they say.
But genuinely have a company that uses a decent amount of samsung gear and have a decent number of, so hopefully gives me some form of credibility

          • @rkl: Please update on how you go. I have a company that does not use Samsung gear because im cheap. if its easy to register i may give it a go

  • Some of the epp's have poor authentication I'm on one that has Appliances too

    • Hint some dont use email auth it uses a redirection check

  • EPP through (retailer that also sells them, so take this with a grain of salt because they kinda like you to have them) is 25% off list price.
