I'm thinking of getting a 2nd one to have stereo speakers with the Apple TV. Anyone has experience with this set-up? Are they decent enough?
Only issue I have at the moment is that the sound don't seem to sync with the video on screen. There is a noticeable audio delay. I've seen posts about it online but haven't had the time to dig into them and see what the resolution was.
I use this set up in the kitchen, and when they're paired they sound much better. But, they still don't hold a candle to the 4x more expensive original HomePod which has the fullest sound in stereo pair mode. With regards to sync, absolutely no discernible lag at all when used in Stereo pair. Ultimately though, that lag can be affected by how congested your wireless network is since it is done wirelessly. The only thing that is 'laggy' is scrolling back and fourth, when outputting via HDMI, movement is instantaneous. However with any wirelessly driven speakers there is a very small delay in between seeks - which makes sense.
