Was looking for cheap Raspberry Pi when i found about this deal. I have used GSkill rams before, never had any problems and they're absolute beast imho. Free delivery for $460 total order - note; that not all items included in this free delivery deal (usually marked by Free Shipping deal), but with Newegg, sometimes even items not marked may be included to reach that total. Just try putting them into your basket.

ps. For lowest-price-ever-bois, go ahead and cmiiw, but this price look very cheap to me.

Hey if you do find a cheap Raspberry Pi let us know! Wanting to get started with home assistant.

      same

You can use an old laptop or something in the meantime, that's what we are running ours off of. Even one of those ex lease desktops that used to be ~$50 would do. Then when you get something more permanent just do a full backup and restore, it's really simple.

      • Hmm true, using an old surface pro 6 to run homebridge, might use that for home assistant.

That'll work. The benefit of the touchscreen is that you can also use it for tapping stuff on and off from the dashboard.

      • Yeah maybe,

but also want to run pi hole so need it to be a small device to sit next to the router.

  • Not bad, but they do have Black Friday in 12 days so maybe it'll go down more?

    • The Kingston 16GB 3200 went for $99 at pbtech black friday sale, so I imagine it should be especially as its from newegg - usually a bit more competitive

I imagine G.skill generally goes for more than the Kingston though. IMO it's hard to say, prices aren't always cheaper at Black Friday, some early deals are better. OTOH it looks like RAM prices have been slowly coming down again https://pcpartpicker.com/trends/memory/ . I bought my Crucial Ballistix 3200 MHz DDR4 DRAM Desktop Gaming Memory Kit 32GB (16GBx2) CL16 BL2K16G32C16U4B (Black) from Amazon for NZ$156 including shipping & GST from Amazon last year at a Black Friday price. (Was actually a week or two after as I missed it early on then kept coming in stock for brief windows until I bought it.) But from what I saw, that was considered a relatively good deal even in the US. From what I understood, not so much because it was that much cheaper than other equivalent speced RAM at the time but because it was a popular brand & the RAM chips were considered decent for overclocking. After that RAM prices rose quite a bit (as of course did a lot of stuff) but as said things are coming down again. Whether we'll see much better at Black Friday who knows

        • thanks for the insight! i guess we'll see on Black Friday cause I'm looking for some better deals than PB have given us haha

  • You do know that this goes for $269 right? Thats here in NZ

    • Have you changed the currency to NZD?
