Good price for this drive. Cheapest locally is $279 @ PBTech

As per Ezreal in comments: The one in PB Tech is P5 plus with a higher speed, that is why the price is much higher. Still a good deal anyway, btw, just remind someone this cannot use for PS5 as it is Gen3, but PS5 needs an M.2 SSD with PCIe Gen4 or later.

    • thanks. def needs to be said for all potential Ps5 SSD's

    • In general storage is more expensive here not sure why.

      • I wouldn't agree with that, we just don't get all of the cheaper options.

Eg We'll get the Samsung 870, and it will end up being the same price if we bought one overseas (most of the time, sometimes there are crazy sales on Amazon).

But Amazon will also have, say, a Kingspec SSD for half the price.

After GST is added, I haven't been able to find any equitable SATA HDDs cheaper than here in NZ. They're usually within a couple dollars of each other.

SAS drives are much cheaper overseas, but simply because they're all grey market stuff and there's a lot less demand.

For my pending server build I've bought 2x 10TB SAS HGST Helium HDDs on eBay, and those were definitely cheaper ($240NZD shipped each, vs $205 in NZ for a 6TB DM003) but SAS. But I'm getting the SSDs (probably 2.5" 870 EVOs) for boot here.

    • Good catch. I only looked at price spy which didn’t mention it was the plus. I’ll add to post.
