    So you cannot link the $5 credit with the original gift card? Forcing you to buy something else with a $5 giftcard meaning you can only buy something worth $5?

      I don't know, but could you perhaps purchase the $100 XYZ card, and then another $5 XYZ card, so netting $105 across two cards to use at XYZ?

      If using online, that would mean that XYZ would need to enable you to use two (or more) gift cards for a single transaction, which can sometimes be an issue (some websites handle it, others don't), but if shopping in-store you can usually use as many separate gift cards as you like.

      Many of the cards can be used in-store like JB, Farmers, Supercheap so not an issue to use multiple cards when purchasing in-store. Online depends if the checkout accepts multiple gift cards.
