This is for the GraviTrax 27597 Starter Kit. A cool kind of marble run, and normally quite expensive.

Ive been eyeing this up for a while, its normally 120+ NZ dollars, and on special at 109.99 at the moment at toyworld.

This is the lowest price I have seen it ever at Amazon. I picked one up for the santa sack.

You may need to get some expansions, Im not sure.

Hope it's of interest to someone.

This is my first deal post, so please be kind.

      • I got what you mean, I just missed those other options in the bottom right corner, thanks.

  • No worries here either. Got a few expansion packs too, very good pricing compared to local. Was looking for something that my 5 and 8 year old might play together, think this could fit the bill nicely, and expect good resale value at this price if it’s a fizzer. Thanks for sharing the deal!

I would be a little careful with NZ Sale.
I have ordered from them before and shipping is very slow. I remember lots of people having problems last year for items ordered in October not arriving for XMAS.

For Amazon, I have found the shipping reliable, especially when they send via DHL. (I normally pay the $4 more or so for express delivery and it arrives in 2-3 days). When they send NZ post, they hold it in Australia, then ship, and it tends to get held up 5-6 days in travel. Note, not all items can be sent express, but where possible, I normally do.

Seems there are a lot GraviTrax parts that you can print on thingiverse, I'll grab this one and print all other extra parts :-)

    • Cool idea combining these and 3D printing skills!

    • Cool idea! Might have to ask around my mates to see who owns a 3D printer!

Not sure where you live but several libraries in Auckland have makerspaces. Fairly sure they're still closed at the moment https://www.aucklandlibraries.govt.nz/Pages/covid-19-update.… but things may change as we move into the traffic light framework assuming you're willing and able to provide a vaccine certificate. I expect workshops or a lot of one on one help will probably still be out of the question in the short term, but if you have some level of technical knowledge you can probably use them without needing such guidance. I know someone who used the one in the central city earlier in the year and IIRC it's something like $4 for a booking which lasts an hour or something.

        • I’m in The Tron and yes actually, now that you mention it, I think our central library has one for public use too. I’ll check that out, thanks for the inspo!
