    • Are you able to forward me the email or the link please?

    • It's a targeted email. I have an Amex Platinum but it seems people are getting it for Amex Zero also

      • Yeah seems targeted, I just registered my card but don't see the info on their website. Wanted to register my wife's card also.

    • Did not receive the email. I got Amex airpoints

    • Didn't get the email. Am on Amex platinum

      • Platinum Charge and Platinum Edge, no emails

    • Can you post the link from the email? Assuming it doesn't look unique

    • Mark it as targeted?

    • +2

I didnt' get the email but from past offers I found the link format is https://offerenroll.americanexpress.com/enroll/EnrollmentSit… followed by a string of numbers and text
If you click the targeted email link again you should be able to find the details we need. If its targeted there will be no submit button I found from previous deals.

eg one of the BP ones https://offerenroll.americanexpress.com/enroll/EnrollmentSit…

    • Airpoints platinum and I didn't get this offer.

  • Got the same.

  • I'm guessing you can't share the link? Neither my partner or I got the email (both have different cards too)

    • the link is unique to instantly save the offer to my card. but if you sign in to your amex account and look at your offers on the website it'll show if this is available for your card

      • If you could share the email, we can try figure out the link to the offer sign up page for anyone who didn't receive the email :)

  • Could someone please forward me the email?

  • I think this one is targeted. Got the email for my green charge card but not platinum.

  • Just got mine at 9:04am too. This one seems to be a targeted promotion as it's for my AMEX Zero (I have both AMEX Zero and Platinum).

    • here is the cracked link: https://offerenroll.americanexpress.com/enroll/EnrollmentSit…
      no submit button as expected

      • I was hopeful but not expectant that it would work as we have been waiting for Amex to be accepted through paknsave online for ages. At least they have added that feature. Now for them to allow Amex at the petrol pumps too.

      • Yep, also the /actual/ terms and conditions of the offer excludes other card members even if you got the submit button working:

        B. Eligible Cards
Not all Cards are eligible for this Offer. If your Card is ineligible, you will receive an error message and you will not be able to register for the Offer. Corporate, business travel, government and store cards are not eligible.

  • Both my wife and I have the platinum edge. I put lots of transactions on my card. But she seldom uses her card. She was targeted for this offer. I guess the offer might only target non-active users.

    • Is that 2 primary cards/accounts or 1 primary and 1 supplementary?

      • 2 primary cards.

    • I believe so. This is only to encourage the non-active users to use the card more often.

    • Yes, agree. Hardly use my green charge card, that's why it's targeted.

    • I got targeted on my Airpoints Platinum and that's my primary spend card.. put everything that I possibly can on it.

      • same here. Don't think it's targeted properly lol

  • Valid only for online or via app purchases.. no instore. Something to remember

    Terms and Conditions

    Countdown
Offer valid for payments made online at shop.countdown.co.nz or in-app via the myCountdown app.
    PAK''nSAVE
Offer valid for payments made online at paknsave.co.nz.
Excludes payments made for Christmas Club Cards.
    New World
Offer valid for payments made online at newworld.co.nz or in-app via the New World app.
Excludes payments made for Christmas Club Cards.

  • Funnily enough, got this on my main Amex Airpoints Platinum card (which I use almost daily) and not on my Amex Edge or Amex Airpoints cards (both of which I barely use)

Sad that it's 100% targeted though

Just got off the phone with foodstuffs after getting locked out trying to add my amex to paknsave online and they say it's not supported lol

    • so that's a nay for Pak n Save?

    • Ah here we go again. Same happens for Mobil, where I couldn't add my Amex card to the app and the shop didn't accept the card either.

      • Weird, AmEx for Pak n Save works for me. Maybe your location of Pak n Save doesn't accept it?

        • I can use Amex too, but never tried the online store. I am not targeted so not keen to try anyway.

  • If you don't get the email, you can just call them and they'll add the offer for you.

    • What did you say when you called them ?

      • +2

I didn't know about this offer - I just called them and said 'hey, are there any Amex offers for my card?'; they checked and said that this offer was available, so they saved it to my card. Worth a try, and if it doesn't work, at least you tried anyway.

And yes assuming this is targeted for those who do not use their cards much.

I put all our spending throu the amex where possible for the airpoints + it's never actually been debt.

    Didn't get no email.

    • who knows what their criteria is.

I'm trying to add AMEX card online at paknsave, with this error return "Sorry, this transaction was declined. Please call your card provider to resolve any issues.". Call paknsave 0800 waited for an hour no one pick up. checked with AMEX, they said fine at their end, the offer only valid online. Called Pak n Save store they can't do much for online issue.

    • finally get hold of pak n save 0800 online team, they confirmed AMEX is NOT accepted online, only accepted at store. I called AMEX again, told them about this, and they said will investigate. Hope they can fix this.

      • Weird, AmEx for Pak n Save works for me. Maybe your location of Pak n Save doesn't accept it?

I saw this on the Pak n Save website, under their FAQs:
"You can pay either by credit or debit card - Visa or Mastercard. American Express cards are also accepted at most stores, with the exception of PAK’nSAVE Mangere and PAK’nSAVE New Plymouth."

        • I used AMEX at my local pak n save ok. The issue is the online store won't accept it.

          • @DigitalTeam: Does this issue come up when you attempt to add the card to your account, or when Pak n save tries to process the order?

            • @thil12: when tried to add the card to my account.

              • @DigitalTeam: Can confirm that by the time I picked up my Pak n Save order today, the full amount had been charged to my Amex Card. Interesting why some Pak n Save stores don't support it.

    • Same… just spent half an hour adding all my items and no go. Let us know if you hear back.

      • +1

I followed up this issue with AMEX today again, they said the AMEX team contacted Pak N Save, Pak N Save said AMEX is currently unavailable online for transactions. They are currently working to fix the issue.

        • Hopefully they're able to fix it soon. Thanks for following up.

Some good news here - I have successfully placed an online order at Pak n Save using AMEX. I'm not sure weather they fixed this, but I just heard from @thil12 who placed an order online at Palmerston North. So I changed my local store to Palmerston North and try to add AMEX for payment method, went through no problem. Then again changed the store location back to my Auckland local store, everything went through fine.

I can confirm that calling them up and asking will get this offer added to your card. I have just done that successfully. There is a BP offer on the way next week too. The customer service guy tried to sign me up to it then realized it is not live yet so keep an eye out for it. I was told 14th December.

  • I have called Amex directly and the offer was loaded to my card.

    • Just called and successfully registered to the promo. Mention "online grocery offer". The AUS rep couldn't not find any offers under "Countdown" but said there is one for "online grocery offer".

  • +1

Thanks! Enrolled in this and the $150 'More Value' offer. It took a few tries but there was one customer service rep online who sussed out both my partner's and my cards (airpoints). Great deal!

    • Thanks, enrolled in this and the 'Platinum' offer via Live Chat as well and on the first try! Yes, seems live chat agents are able to do it as well, just a matter of getting someone who is helpful :)

  • Anyone actually used this? Is this a one-time use or every time you spend $200 you get $50?

    • It's only once per card.

Alsi I only just realised that it was online purchases only. Had made more than $200 purchases at Pak N Save in-store and was wondering why I hadn't received $50 yet…
