They look similar to the $10 pulse oximeters on Aliexpress. Anyone have any experience with these? There's a good yarn over at Geekzone.

The Heart Sure oximeter is the same price at Chemmy Warehouse.

    • They are like $15 on trademe, one we got says made in Germany.

    • Many low-cost pulse oximeters sold to consumers demonstrate highly inaccurate readings.
The price of Heart Sure oximeter is $5 cheaper than Chemist Warehouse :)

Nice touch OP. Re-reducing the price to beat competitors 👍

        • I guess now you can try use the Chemist Warehouse Price Beat to get another 10% off. Making it $72

          • @ognsoign: Chemist warehouse is 10% off the difference. As the difference is $5 they'll only beat it by $5*10% = 50c. If you have a Chemist Warehouse close to you then this would be good as you can save on shipping.

      • Nothing to compare it with. Would be great to be able to go instore to test cheap vs expensive and see the difference.
You get people in your store and you get the potential to sell an oximeter if the persons cheap one is rubbish.

  • We have one of the AliExpress ones, works as well as any I've seen, though I've never compared them side by side with a "professional" one.

Have you tested that on a teddy bear? LOL

MY AE bought one is pretty accurate, I have tested it against a professional one( A nurse friend of mine carrying the professional one) It was perfect. I have tested it against a Huawei band 6 and a Garmin Instinct watch. Surprisingly the Garmin one measured the saturation couple of percentage lower than other two in the first attempt and slowly climbs up in the subsequent attempts.
One thing to make sure while using a finger oximeter is to make sure the finger you are testing is not cold.

  • I'm sure i read MOH was giving them out for free if you get a positive test. with so much variation in quality i wouldnt bother buying one beforehand. some of the reviews on aliexpress were somewhat worrying.

Can confirm, though they had supply issues last month. So all you have to do to get a free one is catch Covid, the true Cheapies way 🤣

Thanks but you can probably get a smart band with oximeter with that price.

  • I bought the HeartSure Oximeter from PBTech a few weeks ago for $85. I was concerned about whether or not the product was accurate - given the pharmacy is selling them too, i'm leaning towards yes
