  Great price! Comes with Android Jelly Bean 4.2 but don't know whether HP will keep it updated. I think the retailers are trying to get rid of this one, even though it was only released back in May. G2 is coming with Allwinner A33 instead of A31s.

  This tablet was $88 NZD at officeworks in Australia not long ago. I tried to buy one while I was there but they got sold out on me.

  If I had the choice between this & the $100 nexus from expansys I would get the Nexus.

  There are no roms for this tab & looks like rooting it is a pain.

    Was the OW price for a clearance product? They usually do sell stock pretty cheap when dumping it, we need one over here!

    Yea, there are a few differences though:

    Consumer guarantees - you can take this back for a repair/replace/refund at TW, from Expansys, good luck.
    About $20 cheaper.
    Not much else.

    I'd take the Nexus as well, but for the kids or as a throw away, this ins't bad for people who don't want root/custom roms.

  Officeworks no longer sell them in AU so it was a clearance price. I was in Melbourne about 4 days after they went on ozbargain I think. They were very cheap though at $79 AUD.

  The nexus is a much better tablet for only $15 NZD more $115 delivered for the 8gb model. 8gb should be enough for a kids tablet or just to watch a couple of movies on the plane. I guess if you need one in less than a week or want a local warranty this is a good deal.

  I am going to hold off until black friday now. I think we will see some better options than these 2.
