OP can you give a bit more detail.

    I'm seeing:
[PC, XBOX] ULTIMATE Get your first month for $1, then $19.95/month
[PC] Get your first 3 months for $1, then Regularly $12.95/month

  • +2

This will be for new subscribers only and doesn't usually work for lapsed users.

I'd still highly recommend if you think you'll use it going the route of buying 3 years of Xbox live gold and then taking the $1 offer to get you 3 years of game pass ultimate for a fraction of its RRP.

    • Agree. And with that, good to keep an eye on Eneba posts over at OzBargain (though looks like their last deal got a few negs).
I paid $148.56 (3 years of Xbox Live Turkey) using one of their discount codes.

^ with OPs post, any way to tell if this is 3 months for ultimate? I did a dummy run with a new account and struggled to see 3 months for $1 for ultimate. Want to adjust post so that it's a bit more accurate.

      • I need to consider this. Have just been trickling xbox live every month but it will all add up over time.

Fancy me 3 years at a lower price. Not too fussed on the ultimate aspect. Only using on xbox console.

        Where should I go?…

I opened in incognito and looks to be what you've said above. 3 months of gamepass pc or 1 months of ultimate for $1.

I think I used Brazil, for about $150 for 3 years and then topped up with ea play when that merged in and now use reward points to redeem 3 month gold codes that convert to 50 days of GPU, think I've got about 4 years for that $150. Not bad for the price of 1 ½ games.

    • Unless you have save games that you want to continue, why not just start a new account? You can get your pals to friend you afterwards, if you play multiplayer.

      • +3

Don’t have to. You can login the new account to your Xbox. All your existing account can enjoy all the benefits of that new account has. It’s the concept of family sharing

      • You can, there's also cheap weekly codes on site like eneba but I like that I just don't have to worry until 2024 for my sub. I too up with any bargains that come along so already added a cheap year via some loopholes and the rewards scheme. I just wish the rewards scheme would offer the same ones as the us and UK here as they can score enough points to pay for gamepass ongoing. He'll people are buying series X consoles with their points in the UK.

    • Just remember you can still do the Xbox Live Gold trick if your Ultimate sub has lapsed it's just that it will cost you $19.95 to convert it to 3 years of Gamepass Ultimate instead of $1.

  • One question: NZ Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, do you also get the free 1 month trial offer for Disney+ as well?

      Yes

    • Yes I have just done this right now.
Don’t even have a need for the XBox game pass - did it purely for the Disney+

      • So If I already have game pass ultimate I have access to Disney + for 1 month?

        • I was a new subscriber to Game Pass Ultimate so not sure how this goes for existing users.
See some of the comments over at OzBargain

It is under the 'Perks' section on Game Pass Ultimate.
The last one listed was Disney Plus which gave a free 30 day subscription.
After signing up to the subscription I was then able to cancel Disney and still keep it for the next 30 days.

An alternative to stacking the maximum of three years and forgoing the free months. Buy and redeem 2 × 12 Months Xbox Live Gold. Make sure recurring billing is turned off before redeeming each Xbox Live Gold subscription so you're offered one month for free for turning it back on. Buy 3 Months Xbox Game Pass for PC for $1. Buy 1 Month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $1. For the cost of 2 × 12 Months Xbox Live Gold + 2 × $1 you'll receive Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for 30 = 12 + 1 + 12 + 1 + 3 + 1 Months!

    • I'm new to this deal - can I buy the 2 X 12 Xbox Live Gold online directly from Microsoft, or do I need to buy them as vouchers first (as someone else has mentioned)? Also I assume I do this all through a browser on my PC, rather than on the Xbox itself, correct?

I don't really want to bother with buying the vouchers from overseas as seems risky and/or a headache, so happy to pay the normal NZ Xbox live price and doing this work around to get free months and upgrade to ultimate.

      • Where you get the vouchers doesn't matter. MS don't actually sell 12 months anymore so best thing is find them elsewhere as cheap as you can. All that matters is your ms account says you have Xbox live gold until the end date you want game pass until before you pay them for your first month.
It also works with the non Ultimate version of gamepass so if you find deals on that it can also be used. Finally EA play can be used as well but that goes at a rate of 3:1, so if you had a year on your EA sub left you'd get 4 months gamepass ultimate when you upgrade for that.

Only thing to know is you can't go over 3 years total no matter how you make it up to convert, so if you go for the full 3 years don't turn on auto renew for the free months.

      • 12 Month Xbox Live Gold is $89.95 in NZ and available instore and online at retailers. Microsoft only sells 1 Month and 3 Month Xbox Live Gold.

Seven ways to redeem a code documented below.

        https://support.xbox.com/en-AU/help/subscriptions-billing/re…

Personally the savings in costs overrode any apprehension I had in buying the codes from overseas. My experience was trouble-free buying from CDKeys.com and using TunnelBear VPN.

  • Buy 3 Months Xbox Game Pass for PC for $1. Buy 1 Month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $1. For the cost of $2 you'll receive Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for 4 = 3 + 1 Months!

    • Yeah wasn't too sure how to word it correctly. The first option is just for PC. The second is Xbox & PC.

      • Purchase of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate automatically upgrades your existing Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Game Pass (PC or Console) to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a conversion ratio (1:1) each based on days remaining.

  • Sidenote; Mass Effect Legendary Edition added to gamepass tomorrow.

Interesting and lengthy read at Bloomberg.

  • Has the PC game pass 3 months for $1 lapsed? I only get offered 1 month for a $1 and have never subscribed before.

  • You can also share your subscription or library of games with a friend or family member. For example, I made my brother-in-law's console my home Xbox and sign-in to my console as if I'm visiting a friend.

  • Hi, Is this still working? Any one tried recently? are there any NZ specific steps to be taken care of ? Got a New XBxx and want to purchase a ultimate pass for 3 yrs. I have free windscribe VPN and can only connect to Istanbul-Ataturk. Thanks

  • think this is no longer valid.
