Looking at grabbing some mens printed T-shirts off Aliexpress, is their sizing the same as in NZ stores?

Yes, I ended up measuring myself, 116cm chest and the largest shirt is 122cm so I guess it should fit. I was going to grab 10 different ones from the seller but might just grab one to start with. It's weird, I went to some local sites for size comparisons and Postie says I'm between a L and XL, Canterbury says I'm 2XL, AmazonsurfNZ says I'm a 3XL and Lowes Menswear says I'm somewhere between a 3XL and 4XL. You'd think there'd be some kind of industry standard when it comes to sizing wouldn't you?
It’s a bit like that JB Hi-Fi shirt. Almost tighter than every other t-shirt in my wardrobe. Second only to the Stickermule shirt.
I was hoping I'd find this shirt on Aliexpress because I don't really want to pay over $30 to get it, but the sellers on Aliexpress had the bloody nerve to not have ripped off the design yet, where's their work ethic at? https://www.redbubble.com/i/t-shirt/Original-Im-No-Expert-On…
My wife has bought a lot of clothes from AliExpress, and the only consistent thing is that they're all different. Even items of the same size from the same seller can vary by a size or two - a lack of quality control, basically. And yes, ignore the S, M, L, XL etc sizes, they are definitely not standard, especially on AliExpress. The closest you can get is by going by measurements.
That's awesome news….. I just bought a few so here's hoping the sizing is what was on the size chart on their listings, if not there's always Trade Me where bad online purchases go to become someone else's problem.
I’ve purchased a lot of clothing from AliExpress. One thing I’ve noticed is the lack of consistency with sizes even with the same seller. For example; I’ve purchased the same top in different colours- 2/4 I purchased fit me; the other two were too small. However; using the dispute process I was able to get my money back. Do be careful; as sometimes the Sellers are more than happy to give you a full refund- provided you return the goods. Postage to China is far more than what you likely will pay for the goods; worth mentioning if you ever are disputing any of your purchases. Also; check what the shirts are made up of. Sometimes they claim to be cotton and they’re not. Having said all of that; I’ve had some lovely clothes from AliExpress including a custom made woollen coat. Hopefully your shirts will be a successful purchase 🙂
