Yes definitely higher wage rates in Oz.
Note though, Bunnings NZ have relatively low number of casual workers compared to our Oz counterparts.
Permanent Employment Agreements provide much more security of hours than Casual which gives no guarantees of work, hence the premium on the wage rate.
I read the other day that casual rates in Aus include a ~15-25% casual loading, so that'd bump it up quite a bit.
A casual in NZ gets an 8% loading in lieu of the fact they don't get any annual leave, so certainly less than Oz.
Also, Employer Superannution contribution is 10% in Oz compared to only 3% required here.
