We'll be moving to Rolleston next month (from our current 4-bedroom rental in Fendalton) - anyone here can recommend a moving company? Looking for a truck so that our stuff could fit in it in one go and perhaps a couple of guys for lifting the heavy things. TIA.

Thanks for the recommendation, will look them up. Yeah definitely trying to do it at one go, as the 2nd trip would take about 45 mins Rolleston-ChCh return.
We completed a similar move using a local Christchurch moving company www.buxtonmovers.co.nz recommended to us & found them great.
Andrew Buxton was really helpful arranging the move & nothing was a problem. On the day the service was exceptional; the 2 movers arrived promptly, were polite, happy for us to help carry boxes to the truck & took the upmost care especially with furniture - wrapping with blankets. Our new whiteware was carefully wrapped as we had requested.
They charged by the hour (gst inclusive rate) & have different truck sizes available which is worth discussing to keep the move to 1 trip if possible. We packed ourselves & dismantled beds/furniture to save time on the day. The move was complete by early afternoon despite moving into a 2 story house & the movers saying they were a bit sore from delivering pianos the previous day!
