Stick with the Breville BES860. It really is the most reliable and best quality machine in its field.
BES860 ? i cant find them on sale anywhere.
Sorry, I was meaning the BES870. (The 860 is the old model).
It's a great compact very capable machine with great reviews. Delonghi the name you can trust.

Can u actually make cafe style latte in these machines?
Haven't tried this one but latte art is mostly all technique, the machine doesn't really matter as long as it has steady steam.
I would be interested to know too,
I own a cafe and in my experience the grind consistency and volume play a big part in the quality of the coffee. being able to adjust this and the machine giving a consistence grid would be important and things like humidity can massively impact the flow.
I would also imagine longevity may be an issue, Commercial machines are designed to be easily serviced i would imagine it may be more tricky with machines like this one , but then the benifit is that you don't need to hard plumb it in!
Grind consistency is a problem with this machine, it has high retention and bad grind uniformity. This machine has often been described as being an espresso machine that comes with a pour over grinder. I think longevity isn't an issue with this machine, they are built to last. It's more likely that you will outgrow the machine as it only has a 54mm portafilter and pumps are 15 bar out of the box.
I have this machine myself and have paired it with a 1Zpresso J-Max hand grinder and have got great results.
You definitely can. The grinder on this machine is the biggest bottle neck for having great tasting espresso, but it's a perfectly capable machine for both steaming milk and making espresso.
Let's just say you can make a decent drinkable latte not top notch.
It's all about skills and also what you buy it for. We've got a professional coffee machine at work and that beast is unforgiving when you froth.
This one is much easier to handle and less chance you mess it up.
It takes much more time to froth milk due to the above, so might not be suitable for a cafe, but for home use it's great!
The shots come out of both pretty much the same for me.
A good machine, but it's limited by the built in grinder. If you're wanting to make great espresso, consider something like a Breville bambino and a separate grinder.
