[PC, Steam] Sid Meier's Civilization VI: Platinum Edition $12.50 (90% off) @ WinGameStore (Steam Key)

80

Hey all,

Saw this deal and had to share here :)

Initially spotted on OzBargain (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/681716) for the Rise and Fall DLC, the real prize is the Platinum Edition for ~$12.50 on WinGamesStore. This price is too good to pass up at 90% off the current price of $123 and almost half price from the historical low of $22. I've already bought and redeemed a key and grabbed another just for the price.

DLC's are also at various discounts of 10-85% off (https://www.wingamestore.com/product/5698/Sid-Meiers-Civiliz…)

Note* The Platinum Edition contains:
Sid Meier’s Civilization VI
Civilization VI: Rise and Fall expansion
Civilization VI: Gathering Storm expansion
Civilization VI – Vikings Scenario Pack
Civilization VI – Poland Civilization & Scenario Pack
Civilization VI – Australia Civilization & Scenario Pack
Civilization VI – Persia and Macedon Civilization & Scenario Pack
Civilization VI – Nubia Civilization & Scenario Pack
Civilization VI – Khmer and Indonesia Civilization & Scenario Pack

Looks like you might be able to get an additional 5% off with PCGAMES5OFF according to https://isthereanydeal.com/#/page:game/info?plain=sidmeiersc…

Also FWIW the Anthology edition that includes even more stuff is US 14.99 which also looks to be a good price

loved playing Civ years ago but just don't have the time any more :(

Yes - I no longer have the 100+ hours a week that you somehow, inevitably, spend playing Civ :-P

      The classic Civ situation:

Around 10pm you think to yourself… just one more turn. Then, as dawn breaks, you think to yourself, 'Darn - Another night gone'. Although, I suspect I didn't think, 'Darn'.

    • Around 6 more hours left for the long weekend 😉, but I know the struggle. The tables sure have turned to having more money but no time

    100%

I use to spend nights playing civ 1 on a floppy disc was hooked and played up to 3 regularly and the life happened.. bought 4 and 5 but barely got to play them.

    • For me it was Civ2ToT. I had Civ3 but then the first kid came along, and I never really got going.

I did play some FreeCiv online about ten years ago, but always too hard to arrange for people to be free at the same time.

  • Just a quick note the Platinum edition was in Humble Choice in June 2021 so the historical low comparisons are a little complicated. The price above is cheaper than the stock Humble Choice options at the time although of course you got a bunch of other games. And Humble was always showing special deals meaning for some people I think they could have gotten it cheaper. US$12 is probably the fairest comparison price though since it's the old monthly price and the price they were always offering people (I have an email telling me I can "Own Civilization VI: Platinum Edition for $12!").

  • I bought a couple of copies of the Anthology on the sale, to play with friends over the weekend.

It’s not quite as good value, but it also includes the New Frontier Pass. The Anthology includes every DLC pack available.
