Just checked the American Express Website and it looks like they've replaced the American Express Platinum Edge with the new American Express Gold Rewards Card with a higher annual fee compared to the previous Platinum Edge, 2 points for $1 spent (previously 3 per $1 spent at supermarkets) and no one annual free Air NZ flight. However now they're offering $200 dining credit and metal card…
No More AmEx Platinum Edge

I used the in app chat to ask about the Platinum Edge and he/she said yes we will retain our Platinum Edge benefit - they are just not accepting new applications
Thanks, that's good to hear
$300 bonus for the new card which is a killer deal - i assume it will be credit after spending 1.5k in less than 3 months
Interesting. I hope existing Edge customers, like me, aren't converted. The free flight and x3 rewards earn make the Edge $150af a bargain.
Amex Platinum charge introduced dining credit last year 2 x $150, but obviously a much higher af with that one given all the other perks included too.
