Yep can do. Give me 10 mins.

  • What's the point of self-encryption? Would this be useful as a boot drive upgrade?

  • Worth waiting for their Stocktake sale to hit PC parts?

    • Maybe not with the war going on and rejection of ussr oil

      • It's in like 3 days?

        • I think the EOFY PC part sale will start in ~7 days, there are 5 parts of their EOFY sale (mobiles, TV and audio) and it must end April 1st.

          • @Avantime: PC parts are 3rd. Depends how long each section is. 1 week you think?

        • oh,i was expecting it was months away. i remember last time some parts (motherboard) went back to the normal price so i ended up not buying a new setup.

          • @coffeee: It's part 3.
I brought parts bit by bit, case, then memory, then mobo and cpu.
Cpu has only seen a $4 decrease on sales and mobo dropped by $30 when I brought it.
Still need a couple of case fans and a nvme drive would be nice if they do a super deal.

            • @Foodie: lian-li AL120 3pk is $112 atm https://www.pbtech.co.nz/search?sf=Lian+Li+UNI+FAN+AL120&sea…

awesome fans especially if you hate cable management and are about airflow in the case
I bought the white on release only or a month later to see them drop to that price on special, bit annoyed, seems they only drop this low 1-2 times a year now :(
But for the clean dope X-Men look worth it.

              • @Huntakillaz: I need 2x140mm, might just go for noctua, case is already starting to look like a disco at the moment.

Yeah those are nice.. the interconnects are sweet.

    • This is about the same price as the Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB from Amazon Australia. Okay that's currently out of stock but it comes and goes often enough that it's IMO a more sensible thing to wait for. Even with possible warranty issues, the 970 Evo Plus 2TB just seems a much better bet than this SMI SM2262EN based drive to me, for that matter any Phison E12/S drives. If you are really worried about warranty, the 979 Evo Plus 2TB was $369 a few weeks ago so imagine it will be again.

      • If you don't care about warranty and can "handle the tax yourself", B&H Photo can ship you the 970 Evo Plus 2TB for US$222 (NZ$325).

        • Worth noting the prepaid tax does work if you spend over $1000 DHL will contact you and you provide proof and they release it

  • Bought a 2Tb 970 Evo Plus from Amazon AU a couple of weeks ago. Total delivered price was $324.
