  • Store in title OP.

  • Blue & Red version: $359.20 for those of you with student access (via UNiDAYS).

    • I don't have access to the store via UNIDAYS but do have access to the education store by directly confirming an educational e-mail on Samsung and think you may be mistaken.

I don't see a red or red or blue version of these. You can get the red or blue T7 without touch for that price but you can also get it from the regular store at that price at the moment, see https://www.samsung.com/nz/memory-storage/portable-ssd/porta… and https://www.samsung.com/nz/memory-storage/portable-ssd/porta…

BTW for $365 you can also get them from PB Tech along with the Titan Grey https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/HDDSSM17201/Samsung-T7-2TB-… which is out of stock on the Samsung store. Unlike with the black touch one, these are in stock at PB Tech rather than weeks away.

      • You're right. Looks like I glanced over it too quickly when taking a look this morning.

Looking more carefully they're technically cheaper on the regular store. On the regular store they are $359 unlike $359.20 for the education store. Same for this touch, $399 vs $399.20. I think the education store is coded to give a hard 20% and the regular store price was either manually adjusted or automatically gives a simpler value when reduced.

  • If you have samsung rewards points from purchases from samsung website you can use those points to get a discount too, 100points = $1
maximum amount of points you can use for this product is 33,915 P ($339.15)

i think it would be better to buy a nvme drive and put it in an enclosure, then you could use it for something else later on and not be stuck with usb connection, its DRAMless anyway, would just have to sort out the encryption.

    • it is cheap for a drive if want some security using finger print.

    • Is that a good hdd?

      • Its entry level consumer/laptop drive, i used that as an example sinces its the cheapest one right now.

  • Was $299 at Mighty Ape late last year

    • That was a price error that was pulled very fast though.

These things are all right for external drives but no good for boot drives on Apple computers as they just get slower and slower. Windows computer, I have no problems because you can enable TRIM. Plenty of discussion Apple forums but there's no real solution.
