Hello cheapies, I'm after a service/maintenance of heatpump. I do DIY just to clean the filters in the indoor unit and ensure outdoor unit is not covered by something like grass or vegetation. I read that doing proper service or maintenance every couple of years will reduce the energy consumption and extend the life. Wonder if anyone know what will be done additionally that can't be done by DIY. And where to go for cheap but proper maintenance. I'm based at Auckland central suburb and quote from the people installed has come at approx $200 for cleaning indoor and outdoor unit. Looking for advice or other options!
Give ezyair a call, http://ezyinstalls.nz/
They charged $135 per unit + gst.
They test and clean the units
1, To clean and deodorize return grille's and diffuser's
2, Water test indoor units and check condensation pump if installed
3, Pressure test all outdoor units
4, Check PCB and wiring
5, Clean filters and check overall operation of all units heating and cooling
I use them for our work aircon units.
