I think it said $6.99 not $6?
Yes, $6.99 sorry
It is best not to have too much canola or other seed oils in your diet.
Extra virign olive oil is always a good choice (even at "HiGh TeMPeRaTuRe's" - that you can't fry with it etc is a myth)
Please look it up on google. I encourage you all to do your own research. YouTube for how canola oil is made as well, that's an interesting one.
Keep your oils away from sunlight, heat and air - don't store it on the window sill.
Yeah I dumped it entirely after seeing its production process. I now stick to olive and avocado
You can get Everybodys Canola Oil 1.5L for $5 at Pak'n'save Lincoln Road (Auckland) as of yesterday which is mildly cheaper than this. https://www.paknsave.co.nz/shop/product/5299482_EA_000pns
The Everybodys Canola oil is a soft drink bottle and packed in NZ by Natural Sugars NZ who have the Harvest brand https://www.naturalsugars.co.nz/retail I figure they must have imported oil in bulk perhaps because Malaysia couldn't fulfill their needs and/or had too many large containers/bags they couldn't sell because of COVID-19 and lockdowns and the effect on restaurants etc. Whatever the case they bottled it locally and soft drink type bottles where what they could easily source. Maybe they even already have them and/or the equipment (assuming you can use same stuff for bottling soft drinks) since while they don't mention any soft drinks, it's possible they supply one of the home brands or something especially given their name. Oh and someone messed up the nutritional label on the bottle at least the one I saw a month ago since it had /100ml but the value for fat was 99.9g but I'm guessing it isn't a pressurised bottle that's going to shoot oil all over the place when opened 😛
Note I'm not saying Everybodys is the cheapest just I happened to notice it on Saturday. Haven't paid much attention to oil prices since I got a bunch of Pams 2L Sunflower oil bottles when Pak'n'save Lincoln Road and Westgate were selling them for ?$4.70 in December-February or so. (It was pre-rise price but stayed at that for a long time while everything else was a lot more expensive. I think they must have purchased them just before the major rises, maybe they got slightly stuck in a container ship somewhere and when they arrived things had calmed down so there wasn't so much demand and since it was Sunflower oil probably less people paid attention.)
The 1L bottles @ CD are $3.50 each, works out cheaper than the 2L bottles.
Hamilton only…
