Just use your NZ Visa Debit to make cash withdraws from ATMs?
Most places only accept cash.
While you're there, may as well get the $7 Fijian note.
That’s cool 😎. The only thing with wise card is they don’t support FJD. So there will be currency conversion fees i guess.
I think the conversion fee is minimal and no margin on the exchange rate. I withdrawn money from ATM in Qatar before with Wise card. Just make sure you check the limit of wise atm amount.
make sure you have enough cash for taxis
Really depends on where you are going and what you are doing. If you are staying around resorts and within those core tourism services/activities, then just your standard credit card will do it all. If doing things outside of those things then yeah likely best to have some cash and roll with that.
When we went ages ago we used our Westpac eftpos card at Westpac ATMs to withdraw cash, no withdrawl fee (I think it was higher back then): https://www.westpac.co.nz/personal/life-money/travel/using-a… and we used our credit card for other stuff.
Im heading there soon. I see a lot of people taking about Wise cards for spending abroad (generally, not Fiji specific) so I've ordered one of those.
